I was a customer with Augusta Aarons once before and got a bed and a laptop, went through my agreement and finally paid them off, didn't have an issue, my mom had service with them, never had an issue. I came back to them because I was happy with them, and have been back for about a year, I have a TV and a washer, didn't have any problems until recently, Augusta location closed because their lease was up, I was given the option of Waterville or Lewiston, I chose Lewiston because it was closer. Ever since I started there they tell me I owe more then I am supposed to, they call and harrass me all the time, they send my mother (who is now deceased) adds and offers to my home even though I have asked them to stop numerous times. My monthly bill is supposed to be 133, they told me I was behind and asked me to pay 220, I said sure and paid it, two weeks later they are calling and showing up at my house, I told him I pay monthly I will call in two weeks he says I am behind and that on Jan 25th when I call to pay I need to pay January AND February a total of $305 if I want to keep my stuff (which again doesn't make sense I only pay $133 a month and I JUST paid $220, two weeks ago. He says its my fault I should have known I was behind, but if he told me I was that behind when I paid the 220, I would have paid to get caught up, he said that was all I owed. I asked him for a record of every transaction I have made, he told me to come get it, I asked that he send it to me so I don't have to drive 35 minutes to get it and he told me "I am not wasting my money sending this to you, you already owe me money" He hung up on me twice. He was rude, and made me cry and made my fiance really angry. worst customer service, EVER! I have contacted cooperate, and I MIGHT transfer to waterville store, but at this point if I "owe" 305 anyway I may as well go buy a tv at Walmart for $259 and get a washer through Rent a Center for $15 a week. Ridiculous, never in my life have I been so disrespected, and it's very infuriating, because I really liked the company when they were in Augusta, the staff there, was friendly, courteous and helpful! I may have fallen behind with them but they always helped me get back on track. Scott or Steve or whatever his name is, is horrible, a disgusting, rude disrespectful human being and he should not have a job. I will NEVER go back or talk to that location. Read moreI wanted a living room furnitue set..i went to the store and fell in love with a beautiful soft grey couch..i was excited because on the showroom floor the couch cushions didnt move..the couch i had was a nightmare..u constantly had to reput them back in place..i told the manager that that was the main reason for getting that couch.. When they delivered the couch i was dismayed to find that the couch was not the same..the cushions were loose n not firmly in place like i had seen in the store..the store has like velcrowed the cushions or somthing..i was upset.i felt that i had been lied too ..i had already gotten rid of my old couch so i was stuck with this one..i could have taken it back but it was gonna be a hassle..i from day one regret doing business with aarons..they hound you everytime your in there to pay your bill..to get somthing else..im on a fixed income paying $165 a month for a couch that they were dishonest about..they think their customers are idiots..i recieved a letter from aarons the other day about a penny payout..they have a thing running that if u can guess the amout of pennies in the jar you only have to put one cent down on your first payment or somthing..the fine print reads that you still are paying full price for the set..whatever u buy..so..your not saving anything and its basically a scam to just get you in and rent from them.. The reason i and others rent from aarons is because were poor..we dont have the means to just go and get a nice furniture right away..so were stuck with aarons or rent a center..but these places are not honest..they are not kind caring places..you are not getting deals..your getting ripped off..i will never in my life rent or do buisness with aarons..in hindsight i should have called them out on their lies about the couch cushions and given it back..treat people with honesty and...
Read moreI went to the Lewiston, Maine Aarons and rented a apartment size GE washer and dryer on December 5th. 2017. We told them it couldn't be delivered until the 18th of December. It was a Pre-leased set. They delivered it and didn't even have the fixtures to use it on the faucet like it's suppose to have even though they had 13 days to get the right fixtures, not only that but the delivery guys screwed the dryer down on the wrack so that it was 2.5 inches off the wrack on one side and the wrack almost fell over. I ended up having to unscrew it and put it on right myself. So I had to call the store and tell them they never left us the sink adapter or faucet coupler. A guy comes back with the fixtures and supposedly fixes it and even had the nerve to ask us if he could use our bathroom. Really? Very Professional. So next day the 19th. and I try to wash my first load and the whole load of water drained out onto the floor. I called and they wanted us to wait until the next day to come fix it even though I now have a whole load of soaked laundry in the washing machine that hasn't been spun out. So I told them to come pick it up and I want a refund. He tells me they don't give refunds, which I know is false, and he was being rude and disrespectful the whole time I'm on the phone with him. So I called corporate. They show up today December 20th and come to get the washer and dryer, the incompetent delivery men take the washing machine and not the dryer or wrack, so had to call again for them to return to pick those items up. The Regional Manager Eric calls and tells me they're refunding our payment onto our debit card should see it in 5 days. Eric needs to do some firing and rehiring people who know what...
