I'm new to this area and only had experience with the Portland so actually dodged this market for a couple of months do to my experience at other locations. I'm pleased to say I was very pleasantly surprised though I easily saved $100 on a $300 or so dollar grocery trip, and to be honest the quality of the product was not any less than anywhere else where I would have paid double the price. There's not the biggest selection but there were plenty of items that I buy regularly that made a big enough price difference that I will go back and continue to get a lot of items at this store. my only complaint as I said as there's not a huge selection... but the meat was excellent quality, the produce I got was excellent quality and my kiddos prefer several items made by this brand including the yogurt sticks, macaroni and cheese, Pop-Tarts, cereal, juice and quite a few snack options as well. Read moreSo sorry that Save a Lot store's across Maine closed. Loved their bargains. Had to be in Lewiston for an appointment and saw there was a Save a Lot in town. This store is super clean. Well laid out, had very nice staff (helpful and smiling!)and had everything I needed. The meats looked very good (although I didn't need any this time). Bargains in name brand goods and good quality non-name brands that compete well for taste....
