My wife and I went to this location for a Birthday gift for our son that is in the Air force. He is stationed in Las Vegas Nevada and wanted to send him a special gift only kentucky could give! Business was very tidy and has a plethora of gift ideas and of course THE CHOCOLATE! We originally went to purchase there popular assortment of candy bars that most local schools and non profit companies use for sale drives. Only to find out due to Coronavirus, that only the milk chocolate bars were available that time. Our main purchase was going to be there signature chocolate peanut butter melt away candy bars! When asked about, the employee we talked to seemed a little irritated with our suggestion. When she let us know they weren't available. My wife and I were taken back at first with the way she told us. But soon after we shrugged it off knowing she probably has been dealing with frustrated and irate costumers that didn't take the news of them not making any more custom candy bars till further notice! After a few minutes of walking the store we viewed there wide selection of chocolate candy that you can purchase by the piece? or in bulk. Recommend buying a gift box! Individual pricing was a bit off for my taste at 89¢ a piece for most options. Didn't seem accurate for the size of some pieces. We finally decided on purchasing a 15pc chocolate peanut butter candy assortment with custom gift box to add that personal Old Kentucky Chocolate feel to remind him of home! All and all it was a pleasant experience. And will definitely return in the future!
My 4 star review is based on lack of product wanted and Off pricing for certain sized...
Read moreI avoid shopping with my kids but sometimes it's inevitable. This was my first time shopping at this business, I came with my family to buy a gift. My 3 yr old daughter of course decided she needed to use the restroom. And kids will inform you of these things the last second possible before they have an accident. I started walking towards the hall the lady behind the counter started calling out very loudly and rushed after me to tell me the bathroom was closed. I didn't even give her a glance and walk out. Had to rush to find a more graceful business that allowed my child to use the bathroom. My husband stayed behind to pay for the items we purchased. Honestly, felt that the customer service was very judgmental as soon as I walk in... not sure if it was the fact that my kids were with me or that they didn't think we could afford the stuff. Did not appreciate the atmosphere or the inconsideration. Will not return to...
Read morePrior to this, I would recommend this Kentucky Chocolates, but not after today up until this point, the wonderful ladies have always been great I come in from Asheville NC and I make it a point to get chocolates for a lot of people who don't come to Kentucky, today the atmosphere was dead cashier acting like we were bothering her, attitude with my grandson because of selection of chocolate grapes, I ask my wife if she wanted to add some grapes to our order seems like it was a bother for her to get them from cooler directly behind her now we were the only ones there in the store no line at all only takes one person to ruin a business if it wasn't for my friends looking forward to the chocolates I would have left them on the counter. We were at Hamburg Store, but next time, we will go to the store on Southland Drive. It wouldn't be so bad but we spend a lot of money...
