Absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!! My older son found them on TikTok and we ordered lunch, not knowing that you had to put a lunch order 24 hours in advance; so I called to clarify, as I had also jalapeƱo popper, dip, and Louis gooey butter cake. They were so busy at the time that the gentleman answered told me I had to put the order in advance for 24 hours so then he got the manager and I spoke with her because we had drove 30 minutes and I was told that she could get it ready despite being busy. When we got to the car to eat our lunch, as you canāt sit in it, so I had to go place- Our food was horrible!!! My son had the Birria burger and it was absolutely covered with the sauce, and so soggy as well as cold. I had loaded potato soup that was literally mashed potatoes and cold very cold! So either one of us got to enjoy a pretty expensive mind you lunch.
The jalapeƱo popper dip was good and Louis gooey butter cake was just OK but such a small portion for a big price as well.
I called the manager to let her know how unsatisfied we were with the lunch portion of our order as I literally spent $70 that day on four items; She insisted on, reminding me that the order needs to be placed 24 hours in advance, but she accommodated for me since I was a new customer and didnāt know but that doesnāt mean that the quality of food shouldāve been that bad and she would talk with her staff members: sheā in proceeded to tell me that she was going to give me a gift card and send it via text. I waited over an hour and never received anything. Her demeanor. Also on the phone was not very personal or professional to me. She tried to come across like she was, but I could just hear it in her tone. My boyfriend called back and mentioned to the young man that answered the phone that we had not received no gift card via text and we would just like a refund for the lunch order portion only- he proceeded to make a joke by telling the young kid. If she keeps spending my money, Iām going to have to put her in a headlock and whoop her. As he laughed an so did I in the background saying you dork- The kid said well I donāt think thatās necessary and he said an my boyfriend said Iām just joking dude. I called back the next day to try and speak with her no answer or return phone call. I emailed her back to let her know I never received no gift card via text and I would just like a refund for my lunch portion. She emailed me back and told me that she accommodated for lunch that day for me, but it was not OK for my boyfriend to call and to say that to the young gentleman so itās best I do business elsewhere ?!? I responded back that is so unprofessional of her as a business owner, because It was an absolute complete joke, but she was using that as obvious ammunition as she had no intentions of giving me a gift card anyways/ OBVIOUSLY! I would never ever recommend this business to anybody I know!!!
The bosses RESPONSE; Only continues to show sheās lieing. Never sent the gift card nor was the threat/ intentional in ANYWAY to believe a 16 yr old child when both of us laughed an I said donāt be joking like that. STOP BEING A HORRIBLE BUSINESS OWNER and refund me my money! You didnāt get anyone a service by your horrible food you made us that was cold and disgusting- sandwich was soaked in sauce And your VERY RUDE attitude when confronted...
Read moreI've been seeing all kinds of posts on Facebook, both by patrons and the business themselves. So, of course, I was intrigued! My husband and I were tossing around ideas for dinner last night, and I mentioned what about The Upper Cut? So we decided to go there for dinner and check it out. Man! This place has the meats! The guy who took our order was very nice and super helpful. He made some recommendations and explained some of the dishes to us. My husband ordered the Jalapeño Popper Cheeseburger with a side of pork shots. I ordered the Aka-strami with a side of beer cheese fries. It took them less than 15 minutes to have our order ready. We dined in. The woman who gave us our order wanted to be sure our fries were nice and hot. We sat and began to eat our sandwiches, and then a couple minutes later, she brought our fries to our table. The food was all so delicious and just the right temperature! The Aka-strami had a delicious sauce similar to 1000 Island but different, and i really enjoyed it. The meat was Akaushi beef pastrami and was piled on! There was a nice amount of meat and it tasted really good. I only ate half there was so much! The bread did get a little soggy, especially on the bottom slice. My husband makes an amazing pastrami sandwich, and this came very close to his. In fact, I dont often order pastrami because im often disappointed. If they squeeze the liquid out of the sauerkraut, I'm sure that would solve the soggy bread. It definitely did not beat my hubby's homemade pastrami but comes in close! The beer cheese fries were humongous! The fries were delicious. The beer cheese was nice and hot and flavorful. The Jalapeño Popper Cheeseburger had two wagyu steak patties, sauce, cheese, and Jalapeño poppers on it. I could barely get it in my mouth it was so big! All the flavors of that burger merged together so nicely and was delicious. The pork shots were delicious, too. Those are pork sausage and cheese blend surrounded by a slice of bacon. Those were delicious! The food may look expensive, but you definitely can taste the quality and creativeness in it, so in my opinion, it's well worth it! The portion sizes are big also. Of course, they also have all kinds of meats, cheeses, and other goodies you can buy to take home and make. We will definitely be back. Our dogs made it obvious that we did leave smelling like a butcher shop, so we might have to go back and get them some of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo one can deny that Upper Cut steaks are wonderful, their customer service is the exact opposite. The employees behind the counter are great; friendly and helpful. Mariah & her uncle need to work on people skills. Iām giving them 3 stars because the meat is very good, they finally replaced the meat, and the employees behind the counter are very helpful. Iām very disappointed in the owners. Last Christmas we used Upper Cut to ship steaks to family in Seattle. They raved how good they were so, we decided to do the same thing again this year. Upper Cut used UPS 3 day guarantee. Come to find out, UPS doesnāt guarantee food and Mariah knew this. UPS told us it wasnāt packed correctly and the meat thawed. It also should have been sent next day air so the meat would still be good when it arrived. We have made several phone calls over the past 6 weeks. Mariah called once before Christmas & once the week after. I left messages, but she would not return my calls until my daughter left a negative review. She called immediately & bullied me into taking the review down. I asked my daughter to take it down, in hopes that they would work with us. Mariah offered to pay for half the meat. I told her she ought to pay for at least all the meat. She said she would get back to me, which she never did. A week later, her uncle called, very belligerent on the phone, and said Mariah offered to pay for all the meat. I told him Mariah never told us that because she wonāt return our calls. Finally, yesterday, after 6 weeks of trying to resolve this, we got all the meat replaced, but they will not cover the cost of shipping because they ācannot be held responsible for UPSās mistakesā. They should have told us up front āship at your own riskā. We are out the $200 we spent on shipping. We have shipped with other meat markets and they guarantee their shipments. McGonigles is a small, locally owned meat market. They told me, āIf something happens during shipping, itās on usā. We like to support local businesses, but we wonāt be...
