This is the perfect place to hang on the weekend if you are looking for a lazy day. There is not a lot of street parking, however; there are some limited paid parking spots right by the beach as well as a block away. The waves were fairly ok. Not calm like a sheltered cove would be but calm enough for my little one to swim in shallow water without me being worried. There is a hotel along the strip that rents umbrellas for $25 per day and chairs for $15 for the day, no hourly rental. You can also bring your own tent or chairs, etc. While there were a lot of people there when I arrived around 1pm, it was not overcrowded as people were constantly arriving and departing.
