We stay in Newport seasonally for work and frequent the outlets often! There are always great deals and friendly people. During our most recent trip, one of my girls lost their brand new stuffy caterpillar outside of one of the shops. We noticed within 5 minutes of losing it and went back outside to check for it- but someone decided it needed a new home apparently and took it with them. My oldest was devastated as she had picked it out for her little sister and thought it was super special.
We ultimately decided to go to customer service/admin offices to leave our names in case someone brought it in. The ladies in the office were SO sweet. They even gave my girls a new stuffy with the tags still on to soothe the hurt of their lost toy. We were so surprised at that generosity and kindness! They said they keep a stock of new stuffies just in case someone loses their special friend.
I just thought it was so sweet. And so were the candies they gave us as well. Stuffies and candies. Can’t go...
Read moreThe reason I'm giving this 3 stars as opposed to 5 is due to poor service at Momiji restaurant. We were there 20+ minutes before even being acknowledged. We practically had to trip someone to get their attention. Finally got up out of frustration and asked to have our order taken. There were three occupied tables with the rest empty and most staff seemed to be more interested in talking amongst themselves then helping the customers. Food once served was good.... but it came out in stages. I was almost done with mine before the people I was with started receiving theirs. Approximately 10 minutes later the third person at our table was finally served her food. If you are in a hurry, or have hungry children this would not be the place for you. Also only one of the staff smiled and was friendly to us and that was when we were paying our bill and leaving. Not the experience I...
Read moreWe always come to the outlet malls! I was happy to see the city renamed it from the Tanger Outlets.
Fair warning: Most of the stores do not have outlet pricing. They have their sales and discounts, and the bigger stores obviously have a lot more to choose from than the ones in the cities (Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Old Navy, The Northface, etc.). The smaller stores , that have stores all over the cities (i.e. Bath and Body Works, Hot Topic, etc.) are exactly the same, same pricing, as all other locations.
They have some really great stores that are ONLY here (as far as not one near home goes), but still not discounted at all.
There are little snack places with coffee and ice creams and they just put in a new restaurant/bar in that does trivia nights!
We come often to Lincoln City and stay for days at a time, so this is always a spot to come when you've done all the...
