Most people are familiar with Westcliff, but Eastcliff is sometimes a hidden gem, so unless you live nearby, you might miss this little spot. It is not as long as Westcliff drive, but you still get a nice beach stroll with some amazing views.
There’s not as much foot traffic, either. I love all the stairways down to the water. Getting out here first thing in the morning with the sunrise or last thing at night with the sunset, you won’t be disappointed with this view .

Great surfing for all levels at a variety of breaks from Sewer Peak (expert) first and second peak Pleasure Point proper (intermediate to advanced) And 38th Ave (beginner until swell gets overhead, then advanced to expert). Parking can be a bit difficult on weekends and during banging swells, but usually not that bad. Watch for signs, although parking tickets are rare. Usually a very mellow vibe in the water. Be courteous, don't drop in, and you'll have a great time.

Read moreBeautiful views. Very nice trail to follow up along the cliff. There is not much actual "beach" and it would not be a good place to swim or bring kids to play in the water. Getting down to the actual water is a steep climb. A lot of local surfers come here to surf. Keep in mind there is zero parking along the beach and even parking in the neighborhoods can be tricky due to rules keeping residents parking open and locals purchasing parking permits.
