So first, their ‘breakfast spuds’ are hands down the best breakfast potatoes anywhere. And I mean, anywhere. They are clearly 2x or maybe even 3x roasted. Crazy crispy, great flavoring. Everyone in our party including one other vary Potato Particular Person agreed. I’ll be a making a meal of these and a bunch of sides henceforth. As far as the food goes, everybody enjoyed their dishes.

Cocktail menu reads very well, although the drinks are less flavorful and not as spirit driven as you would expect. Maybe over-diluted, maybe just sat in the shaker. Will have to reassess next time.

In summary, I have not been here in many many years but overall was much more impressed than in their early days.

July 2025 Update Happy to say that so far breakfast/brunch is still very good. And yes, the potatoes remain amongst the best in town. Cocktails are definitely good, I particularly liked the Grapefruit Paperplane, excellent pairing with brunch. And let’s face it, without cocktails brunch is just breakfast. The wife is discerning when it comes to eggs Benedict and she quite liked her basic Benedict.

There are so few spots for actual brunch in town - as opposed to a good diner breakfast - it’s nice they remain a...

I really had to drop this down a few notches. I'd been there with my daughter a few months ago and the food, service, everything seemed quite good. This visit not so much. To start with it seemed that the menu had gotten smaller, for sure they removed the quid ink pasta from it, I'm not sure what else. I was waiting for a friend to join so I thought I might chomp on on "crispy artichokes" . Only problem was they weren't crispy, like at all. The flavor profile was there, they were quite good on that front. But the texture was, as my friend put it, "soggy". Moving on to my burger with fries. The fries weren't bad, pretty good actually. The burger I couldn't quite nail down what was up with that. It tasted sort of like a slice of meatloaf on a bun, it was weird that way. Not exactly bad... just weird. Service was good, although like many restaurants you might find that if you say you need a "few more minutes" your server will give you way more than you need. It's a perception thing I Think. Overall i REALLY wanted to like this place as much as my daughter and i loved it the first time we went. I...

My family was traveling near the point in Santa Cruz and looking for a nice dinner. This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at. I recommend making a reservation if it is a party larger than two or three people. It does tend to get busy as it is popular. The children's meals are reasonably priced at $9 each and are good portions. The three adults ordered the suda bowl with steak, the steak meal, and the catch of the day which happened to be halibut. Halibut. The person who ordered the suda bowl could not stop complimenting how good it was. The steak dish was very salty, but the steak was tender. The halibut was a little bit dry which was disappointing. The bed of accoutrement that it sat on was a little bland. We had decent service, but more attention from the busser. They have outdoor and indoor dining. There is free parking in the adjacent parking lot. What is the best part? It is literally located around the corner from the point in Santa Cruz. After our hearty meal we went for a walk around the corner to watch surfers on the Pacific Ocean as...
