El Rancho Shopping Center — Local services in Live Oak

This used to be the main shopping center for Aptos and had every thing, movie theatre, drug store, various restaurants, clothing store, grocery store, bank, hardware store, coffee shop not Starbucks. But sonce they plowed down the pump track down just down the road a bit and crammed in way too many apartments, the new owners booted all but 4 stores, jacked up the rent and has been "renovating" for over a year reducing the already inadequate parking for the center and causing the few non corporate stores that tried to stay out of business. Traffic and parking were already a nightmare in Aptos, now quadrupled by all the construction vehicles, and sure to get worse when people start moving into "Aptosia" as the new crew want to call it. Makes me ashamed to have lived here...

I go to the Dunlop Doughnut store and I love it. Mmmm maple bacon doughnut or breakfast croissant and a cup of Joe and I'm off for the day. You gotta get there early to get a good doughnut....
