I have been a customer of this Publix for over 23 years, even when it was in the other location near Suwannee High. I used to like shopping there, but now I rather drive all the way to Valdosta for a good experience. Publix boasts that it is a "Pleasure" to buy there. I am sure it is still the case in many stores, but not in the Live Oak store. The customer service has deteriorated extremely throughout the years. They never have enough products on the shelves, especially when they are in BOGO. Other stores, like the one in Valdosta, Ga, allow you to get one BOGO item for half price, if they only have one item left, but NOT the store in Live Oak. The produce department is filled with rotten produce (and overpriced) The fish department has a very disgruntled employee working there (I would probably be disgruntled too, if I worked there) There are some nice people working there still, like the cashier that went out her way this week to sell me a BOGO Belgigioso cheese that was the last one at half price. I want to continue shopping there for another 20 years, if God allows, but if this customer "service" continues, I would probably drive to Valdosta, Lake City, Gainesville or anywhere else, where I can shop...
Read moreAbsolutely astounded by the way I was treated by an employee. Checked out at self checkout, paid on the app using the QR code. The employee started questioning me and insinuating I was trying to steal a $2.66 Alani energy drink. I asked her if it didn’t scan properly, and showed her my purchase history when asked. Still berating me, I scanned it to pay for it again, because it was only $2 and really not that big of a deal. The employee then cancelled the transaction of my drink and said “it’s fine”. No. It’s not. You have made me out to be a thief and a criminal, to which I am not. I then went to a different self checkout to scan, and then pay for the drink again. When my husband walked the 3 steps to hand me his card the employee thought it was appropriate to loudly say we “left our baby”. Our child was a few steps way in an empty checkout area. I shop at Publix at least 4 times per week. This interaction with this employee was absolutely ridiculous. All over a $2 drink that I was more than willing to pay for a second time if it would’ve appeased her....
Read moreThis is my favorite place to go to get fresh sushi I love the tuna sushi with the caviar it is my all-time favorite and I also love the platter with the three different kinds of sushi on it that one is amazing as well they're tuna is so fresh on their sushi it has no fishiness to it it almost tastes like a rare piece of steak. I love it and I'll probably always go here to get it. And I love the options on the seafood that's fresh that they have and we can support Cedar Key for supplying the scallops and the muscles and everything else they Supply. there fresh and delicious stuff they have lots of options on their flavored salmon like honey glazed and other kinds. They also have crab cakes that are pretty good size and they're cheap but to me they taste more like salmon than crab but they're still tasty. I haven't tried all the sushi yet but give me time I will be trying more I love it...
