San Juan Puerto Rico Fishing Tours — Attraction in Loíza

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Puerto Rico. We booked our fishing trip last minute. We were wanting to tarpon fish as well as fish for Peacock bass. Paco was very flexible in getting us set up the day before we left. We fished for bass early in the AM and Tarpon in the evening. The freshwater fishing was a blast. My wife and I both had so much fun and caught so many different types of fish it was unbelievable.The reservoir was very beautiful as well. The tarpon fishing was also very fun. We were only able to land two, but we had so many hits and Paco put us right on top of them. The tarpon were everywhere. They were even surfacing right at the boat. It was such a wonderful experience. When I finally landed one, it was the most thrilling experience i have ever had fighting a fish. We will definitely be back to try our luck with Paco again. We had a great time fishing with Captain Paco. He is knowledgeable, a lifelong fisherman, and has a passion for these wonderful fish. The best part is you do not need to get beat up with rough conditions in the ocean to catch these great Tarpon. The Tarpon are very smart and a challenge to catch. These fish are not easy to hook and he walked me through how to land these once in a lifetime fish and that was a true blessing. Could not ask for more from a fishing guide. We weren’t the ideal clients, parents with a 4-year-old with the dad wanting to fly fish, but the trip with Capt Paco far exceeded our expectations. The captain knew where the fish were, at what times, on what tides and kept us on them. We managed 8 snook and 2 tarpon on fly along with others lost and several on bait all of which delighted our child.
