Lodi House Thrift Boutique — Attraction in Lodi

I was there on Mon 8/18/25, the lady’s That work there (don’t know if they get paid) were acting racial, not only to me but between themselves one was white and the other one was black they did not seem comfortable with each other. I came in the store and the white one did not great me ( I did not mind for I know sometimes there is no time to be greeting everyone) but when my friend who is white followed me to the store the white lady went out of her way to greet my friend ( quiet frankly don’t mind). The African American woman somehow started talking to me and without notice she left my side in the middle of the conversation to go talk to a white customer (did not mind, she just did not answer me if they are linked to any social cause, and are non profit). When my friend and I left (both ladies were at the cashier front area), the black lady told my friend have a good day and looked at me with a gesture that I did not care for. As I was exiting I could not contain my laughter I mean it’s 2025. Bottom line at one point I bought a nice purse at this store after that I visited this store several times and did not find any good find. What a great thrift store. The clothes are well marked and are very will kept in order not like some of the major department stores! Yes it's a thrift store but the personal are very willing to help you and tell you they don't have something right now but come back later and we might have what you are looking for. When they run a sale you can't go wrong. I bought a pair of jeans 36 X 34 yesterday and the price was $7 but I also received 60% off because of a sale on mens clothes. The pants look like they might have been washed once! Great deal for $2.80! ...

I have never had a bad experience here and I thift very often. but today one of the cashiers asked me if i could give them my back pack when i first walked in. Which is fine if its a new policy i dont mind. But what struck me as very odd was another customer had a backpack similar size as mine the only diffrence was she was caucasian and im mexican. Lodi already discriminates soo much you cant even pay your utilities with out it happening. And i was extremely saddened that a place i visit often would do something similar.
