I used to go to this place to study on weekend evenings, but I will never return after my last experience. First, one of their employees (who appeared Hispanic) denied us access to the restroom key because we hadn’t purchased anything (one of the few times we didn’t). Then, ten minutes before closing at 8 p.m., they turned up the music obnoxiously loud, seemingly trying to compete with the club next door (clearly trying to disrupt my studies). They waited for all the other customers to leave so they wouldn’t hear, and then another employee came over and informed us that the WiFi and water are only for paying customers. For the record, I was using my hotspot (they should check before assuming), and I apologize if taking two small cups of water somehow hurt their business. I’m happy to reimburse them if needed.

I’ve never encountered a coffee shop that discourages guests from socializing or studying, which is ironic considering that Brian Niccol aims to make Starbucks a welcoming place for just that. I hope everyone chooses Starbucks instead, where they gladly let you stay and offer water to any guest, regardless of whether they’ve made a purchase. Not to mention, Starbucks guests are always very warm, welcoming, and happy—qualities these two employees severely lacked.

In the past, I noticed people regularly went there to hang out, play games, and study, so I’m not sure if anyone else has had similar experiences. This was the first time I saw these two particular employees (Saturday, 9/14/24), and I’ve always had good experiences with the other staff. Regardless, I’m...

Located in downtown Lodi, Mokelumne Brew House is a comfortable coffee shop that offers quite a bit more than coffee.

Their coffee is quite tasty. I’m a fan of black coffee, but Mokelumne offers a variety of hot and cold coffee/specialty drinks. I can’t imagine not finding something you want.

If you would like a frozen treat, there’s a nice selection of gelatos. They offer 3 or 4 different sized servings. A great touch is you can select half and half of your choice. I opted for dark chocolate and Oreo. Creamy and flavor packed.

There’s a small display of pastry and other sweet treats that looked inviting.

Recently added are beers and wines. Local beers are offered either on tap and bottled. They rotate the taps which repeat customers the chance to try a variety of locally brewed beers. Considering this is Lodi, naturally the wines are from some of the many local vineyards.

Seating is at the small counter, at tables or in a comfortable couch and chair in one corner.

There’s a door on each side. Outdoor seating is out one side while going out the other door puts you in a ā€œmini-mallā€ indoor courtyard with seating available there also.

Mokelumne Brew House has a lot to offer and is a fine place to order ahead, grab and go, or...

Awesome; this Brew House Coffee in Lodi, CA is a must—- absolutely Amazing!! Thank You, from the bottom of my heart Because this CafĆ© is truly a HOUSE, like a home. Their atmosphere is welcoming, dignified yet super comfortable to all. I appreciate Andrea’s Assistant as well as thorough efforts! Please continue and keep it up, yay!!

Now, early July I was told I was not welcome due to whom I believe is the owner’s daughter or some related family member esteeming me as ā€˜rude’. She thought this based on the premise that I asserted myself in defense because there is a or they have a time limit for PAYING CUSTOMERS AND GUESTS to stay in the cafĆ©. Regardless if anyone is working, studying, or reading quietly. Atrocious. Enough said.

I had earned enough points with my text, cellular number that I redeemed my coffee cup free ( w/out milk or creamer I may add)m So I have NEVER returned!!...

My wife and I really enjoy this place. Great customer service. Very clean and well put together with plenty of details. We stopped by this morning for a Michlada. They are still in the process of getting that drink down. So we decided to go with another option. Tequila Fuzz and a Bloody Mary…. Both drinks where good with a nice clean presentation. Fuzz was killer, Mary was good. Felt like it needed just a little more kick. However we enjoy this place and am sure you will to…. This place just feels good…

This is a fantastic coffee shop. The ambiance is fabulous and the selection is on point. I do, however, struggle to call it a coffee shop. They also have gelato, wine, and some tap beers. Top that off with some of their food selections and you have a recipe for awesome. I highly recommend this shop. They also have some allergy friendly options! The finishing touch is their "free to customers" very fast Wifi.
