Shangri La Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Lodi

Me and the beautiful lady went out for the first time in awhile since all this horrible shutdowns happened and let me just say this... Being in this restaurant was amazing! This place made our date feel like this pandemic has never existed and we felt like life was completely normal with the other 25% of people dinning inside lol. Anyways, our waiter that served us was very polite, kind, and on top of giving us our drinks and food in a timely manner even though the kitchen orders were a little backed up. The atmosphere inside was perfect with just the right amount of people inside, but the low dimmed lights made it feel like a dive bar (which is awesome!) 😆. But the most important thing was the food. Let me tell you.... The Lion King, The Dragon, and The Volcano sushi rolls were absolutely the best sushi rolls I've had! No lie! I've had my fair share of sushi places but this place had it all! Definitely is now our official sushi spot from here on out and we will both be returning very soon! Thank you guys!

P.S. To The Supervisors/Managers of the business- The gentleman who served us on 11/13/20 around 730pm-830pm in the section between the windows and bar... he had piercings on top of both ears I believe... wasn't able to remember his name, but please give that man an accommodation lol. He was very nice and helpful with his customer service and sometimes thats hard to come by in some restaurants lol. Thank...

The experience wasn't good. The manager, Navin, is very unprofessional and lacks any type of problem-solving skills, which is crucial for managing a restaurant. When I went inside to pay for the meal me and my family had, we made sure to mention that we wanted a roll off the bill because they took 45+ minutes to "prepare it" and even after we were done eating, more time passed and there still wasn't any sign of the roll. When we mentioned this to Navin, she began to talk in a very loud manner, and said that "this is the only time (she) was voiding it, next time she was going to pack it up for us to go and make (us) take it". She was blaming her mistakes on us because there were a few changes to the order and that was what took time for the non-existent roll to get to the table. We were explicitly told that it was fine and the changes could still be made without any problem. Her attitude throughout the whole payment process was rude and unprofessional and even left the transaction halfway done, making one of the waiters finish another change done to the bill for another item we didn't order. TOTALLY WON'T COME BACK!

PS- The waitstaff was very helpful and professional, keeping calm at all times which speaks volumes about Navin...

Decisions, Decisions! This restaurant is suitable for your business needs or casual, the atmosphere is set for privacy at each table, and there is a bar if you'd like to mingle. There are more than plenty of outstanding menu options to choose from it is just a matter of how much room you have in your stomach! It completely depends on your mood of which way you will go on the menu, but you cannot go wrong it is ALL delicious! The sushi rolls are outstanding and the sashimi is like no other I have ever had just absolutely amazing in your mouth! Seaweed salad and cucumber salad were delicious. Oh a the stuffed jalapeños were definitely a hitter! I highly recommend the Oyster Shooter with hot sake it is crazy yummy tasty and I get cravings for them! Overall this place will not disappoint and yrust me when you see the menu you will know that you made a good choice to come to a fantastic restaurant! There is not a parking lot dedicated to the restaurant, if you are meeting someone I suggest to arrive a bit early to figure out where to park.
