I love looking around this store whether itās the beauty section, decors, kids, etc., and most of the time I have an amazing experience on the floor or at the counter, but today I felt very very uncomfortable at the counter when being pressured to sign up as a member to get 5% rewards or something.
I declined 2 times when asked, but the guy at the counter (3/01/25 around 7:40PM) persuaded me it only takes 2 mins, and after I put in my SSN I felt uncomfortable- though ik this is the process that people have done before. Once I put my SSN it said incorrect MULTIPLE OF TIMES like 6 times!! I told the guy I donāt want to this anymore TWICE and he just ignored my statement and wanted me to type it again⦠he said āmake sure you get it right this timeā the AUDACITY. I think itās bc Iām a young woman so itās easy to manipulate young people to signup. I purposefully messed up the signup and he looked quite disappointed that Iāll get a phone call sometime to see if I qualify for the rewards. I left the store feeling uncomfortable and so naive. All and all, Marshallās need to retrain their employees at the counter NOT to pressure their customers to sign up if they refuse. Not sure if the employees receive commissions or bonuses if people sign up⦠but this is not the WAY to go by pressuring young people to sign up.
Iāve been to other Marshallās and some ask if I want to sign up and some donāt. Usually when I decline it isnāt a problem. But Lodiās Marshallās was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLodi Marshalls is well stocked. It was a bit messy the day my mother and I went but I understand that it may be because of the holidays and so many people in there at the same time. What I found to be a Negative is that the isles are to small for 2 people to fit at the same time. Things seem crowded especially right now during the holidays when it is always packed. The line to pay was very long even tho they had every cashier cashing people out. The line was going by the clothes and it was very tight to get to looking at the clothes because they were blocking the isle. It's mostly bad because people get annoyed that you are asking to get through and you have to ask because you can't go back because there were 2 or 3 people in the isle you were looking at and it'd be harder to get through them than the crowded line that was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff there is EXCELLENT, especially in comparison to the Stockton location (where I live). Long convoluted story short, it just comes down to the customer service between the management. Stockton Marshalls doesn't think about the customer, the the Lodi did one, does. ABOVE AND BEYOND. This extends to checking availability of limited items, holding it while I make my way there, and helping me load it up into my hatchback. Even letting me borrow a tie down so I can safely make it home (which if you are reading this, I will be returning soon! I did not forget :). ANGEL, she was amazing, and made all the difference.Event he way I saw her interacting with staff, it was nothing short...
