Strings Italian Cafe Lodi — Restaurant in Lodi

I'm not sure what part of Italy this food is supposed to be from but I've had Italian food authentic from all restaurants and this one has no flavor. On top of that I deliver with GrubHub I had an order for a customer for only a pasta Sienna and supposedly it takes 40 minutes to make this when I called about the ETA because the customer was texting my phone asking Mark tells me that he will let me know when it's ready and it will be 20 minutes or longer I called asking for an ETA which means estimated time of arrival or of completion and 20 minutes or longer is not an ETA. That was very rude of him especially me being a driver and I have to deal with the customer. When I told the customer what he said the customer was ready to cancel the order which means I don't get paid and I drove all the way from Stockton to get this order. My advice for Mark would be learn how to deal with customers more respectfully my advice to the restaurant would be please add some flavor to your food I want to taste some oregano some parsley some basil or even...

Updated June 22, 2023. Strings Italian Cafe in Lodi is a restaurant at which my family and friends eat frequently. The endless soup, bread, salad are amazing. The lobster bisque is delicious and although not refillable, the server offered to bring a different soup as a free "refill". That's amazing customer service. The complimentary bread is warm, soft, and buttery. The salad has croutons, raisins, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds, lettuce, and a fantastic dressing.

Our favorite dishes are the braised beef short ribs, salmon and shrimp scampi, shrimp scampi, pasta siena, meatloaf, and spaghetti. We have experienced only stellar service and have been coming here for years even during 2020-2022, when most people were staying home. Servers are kind and attentive. Chicken Lombardy is an entree that hasn't been on the menu for years, but customers can still order it. The short ribs are my personal favorite.

Off night?

We're from out of town and were passing by craving Italian so we searched this place up and it had the highest rating. So I was expecting decent Italian but what I ordered was almost inedible. Let me lead with the seafood bisque and server were wonderful. However, I had the fettuccine Milano and it was extremely watered down, no flavor, and the pasta was over cooked. I had a few bites with it heavily peppered and still couldn't finish it. I should've stopped the meal at the bread and soup. My sister had the pasta sienna and she said it was okay, but she wouldnt come back for it. Also we moved tables because there were gnats or fruit flies that were buzzing around the table trying to land in the food. The server was really sweet and helped us move without issue.
