Cass County Dentzel Carousel — Attraction in Logansport

I went to the counter and let the lady know this was my first time ever visiting. I brought my 1, 2 and 4 year old children to ride, who were all very excited! The older lady at the ticket counter informed me "you shouldn't be out by yourself with so many little ones." She didn't give me any options so we could ride, none of the at least 4 employees that were there was offered to assist us so all my children could ride. I had to get a lady that was there with older children to stand by 1 of mine because they were all too short to ride by themselves. That's fine, there's rules for a reason. This height limit is no where to be found online which could've helped prevent me going without my husband. My 1 year old lost a shoe and when I went back inside to get it. The older lady again reiterated "this is why you shouldn't be out by yourself with so many little ones." She also kept trying to make me buy 6 tickets total when I only needed 5. She also didn't inform me about the rings you could grab to possibly get a free ride. Beautiful historic carousel, wonderfully kept, with a great band organ AND operating brass ring machine. What a great find, so glad we stopped on our way home from Indiana to PA. Not difficult to find, followed the GPS with the address given. The website has a brief history however there is more information available there, as well as items for sale which help support the carousel. According to the website, the carousel was supposed to be open till 5 PM on Saturday, but after driving from Plymouth, we discovered it was not open at 4. A very nice park employee allowed us into part of the building so we could see the carousel better than from outside, but we could not get into the actual carousel area.
