Davenport Park — Attraction in Long Beach

The park is pretty descent sized and has also about 20-30 parking spots, they also do have an after-school program that is free M-F from 3 to 5 pm. They have 2 basketball courts and a very small playground for kids. One of the only drawbacks, is that if you are walking or hanging out early in the morning you might find a homeless person or two sleeping on the benches and/or tables but they usually are very nice and mind their own business. ALSO there'll be a LOT of trash leftover from the weekend if you are visiting on a Monday morning, so not the best day of...

Part of the park is done really well yet the public restrooms have no handles on the doors and is filled with homeless people so one doesn't feel safe because there's no logs and you never know when people are going to enter the bathrooms have all the items of these unfortunate homeless people on the other side on the track it is just dead there's no nature no Greenery no flowers not even a cactus garden it is just tilt dirt and so it looks like a wasteland so there's mix feelings here with this park one goes to a park to relax and be part of nature yet one...

Its such a beautiful secluded Park. SAFE for the little ones because it isn't near a main street. However there are homeless people who are getting drunk near the bathrooms at certain times of the day (or ALL day). They get loud and too friendly. Too friendly to where my older Son's almost had to fight because they were too friendly with my 7 year old. SMH!!! Beside the homeless people it's a beautiful secluded Park and peaceful at times.
