For an excellent neighborhood area, Rose Park in Long Beach is it. There is a park in the middle of the street, and cars just drive around to go thru like a small round-about. All surrounding neighbors in Rose Park are sent a flyer stating the weekend day and asked to donate food for the event or a monetary contribution. There are music games, and everyone puts down their blankets and chairs and mingle along with all the fun. The traffic is blocked off with no inconvenience for the duration of the event, which ends at 4 pm. My husband and I attended with our son, who lives in the Rose Park historic area along with one of his friends who also resides in this area. Great job, Long Beach...

My dog is about 14 and 1/2 years old but quite spry for his age but every once in awhile he's it does catch up with them, so it's nice to have a park that I can walk to within 4 minutes and then another one down the street about 10 minutes away that's really big. Nice and quiet area everyone friendly. Dogs will come but there are no dog bags on the premise and this is pretty much just a roundabout it's been turned into a park with a trellis in the center and some trees...
