(After School/ Summer program) The Pros: Program is free. They have activities to keep the kids busy. Staff seem friendly. The kids are given snacks. They close at 6pm. *They I think still stay open till 8pm for Teenager's. The Cons: Playground bridge is damaged. They *NEVER* open the facility doors on time. (Supposed to open at 10:00 am) As a former YMCA Assistant Site Director (Back in the day) I realize it's tough for Staff at this facility to accurately watch all the Children at a public park with no fences. Kids say the bathrooms are always dirty. Parents don't have to sign the kids out. Kid to staff ratio isn't adequate.

Great Park, essential green space in an urban jungle of hard surfaces. They have a cool skatepark which is hard, mostly the rest is nice and soft, green park, grass, and an organic “Long Beach Organic” community garden with raised beds. Growing food, getting to be one with nature. Promoting permaculture, food security, healthy living, mental wellness, engagement with your local community, connecting people, connected community.

One of my personal favorite little teeny mini parks that's open all the time and you get to yourself early in the morning. Please keep our skateparks straight

I went to the program my self. The staff seemed nice at first but as I kept going, they showed their true selves by being unfair to me and my friend imparticular. They would exclude us and would put the other kids first. For example, Ms. amaris was not understanding when there was a problem and wouldn't put effort into finding out who was the problem and would just blame us if we had anything to do with the situation just because we were older. They would call us names and tease us, but when we said anything mean to them, they would get us in trouble. I would advise you to not send your older kids to this program because of these reasons and the...

This review comes with a PSA: People are not equivalent to Racoons.Yes, a few homeless people hang out at the park. But you do not have to worry I guarantee you theywill not attack your dog or impulse LY snatch your child's snack. They understand and have respect for the other visitors. I feel the need to make this clear because I noticed that most reviews emphasize he park being filled with homeless people. This is understandableable because it is true. But the park also has great resources at the community center, plush grass and Be aware the other human beings who have homes, now they can get vicious. This is a lovely park Liz...
