For the past 8 years have attended the Cowlitz County Fair. It's free and small. Always nice to see the vendors & shop, listen to the live music, enjoy a giant ice cream cone, strawberry shortcake, BBQ spare ribs and any other variety of foods to your liking. Food can be bit pricey but to try once a year is a nice treat. The treats at the amusement rides park are pretty good as well. Elephant ears have shrunk in the last couple of years and not worth the price. Some amusement park staff members look a little shady, can be rude and unprofessional lacking in customer service and friendliness: especially with the large population of children visiting with parents and dropping lots of dollars for some crappy amusement rides and cutting down on entertainment that I have observed every year. There were a large number of participants here involved in a number of dog activities. A lot of the open field areas were set up showing dogs in conformation or doing coursing events. Other activities included weight pulling, obedience, rally and agility as well.
The grounds are kept in pretty nice shape there were lots of large shade trees in one of the areas across from the large main structure. There are also hookups with electricity for RVs and trailers and additional areas where tents could be set up.
Unfortunately it does not offer any shower facilities and there are only two bathrooms in the arena area. So if you're going to be tent camping you're going to be...
