Teague Park — Attraction in Longview

Teague Park is a very nice park, there is an awful lot of military information there and history there. They also have a beautiful Vietnam Wall of soldiers. Anyone reading this if you haven't been to take Park by all means please make a trip to honor our military personnel. It is also a beautiful Park to take children for a walk or fishing. I think it's wonderful that our state stocks trout in the pond for the public to fish. I've been here a couple of times. My husband will usually fish while I walk around the pond with my kids. However last week I went by myself with my kids and a man was following us around the pond. It was very scary. I had to ask another family for help. It looked like had been beat up and he appeared to be either drunk or on drugs. It was very scary for me and my kids. This park has had some recent improvement over the past year. There is quite a bit of parking in the park a monument to all vets and a Scott Building as well. The restrooms seem clean with two covered areas for faimly picnics. The main draw back for this park is the kids play area. It contains chipped tires as the base material which is safe for kids to play in. However in looking around that area I found that there is a great number of broken bottles in the rubber chips For this reason alone I rated the park...
