Zelek Flower Shop, Inc. — Attraction in Lorain

Mary was kind and patient when helping us with our wedding floral needs. I did not have a specific vision for our wedding flowers other than that I wanted "white with some greenery" and was able to show Mary a few pictures from Pinterest. Then Mary put ideas together for our bouquets and centerpieces that were even better than I ever could have imagined! She also was able to give suggestions for different ways we could save money and stay within our budget. Although Mary was a little unorganized at times, I could tell based on the success of her business and her professionalism that this was out of character for her, and she made it up to us without us asking her to do so. On the day of our wedding, the bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful! Mary also arrived at the church early and made sure everyone got the flowers they needed (including the parent and grandparent corsages and boutonnières), and she stayed until I walked down the aisle. If I could give a negative 5 I would. The florist I typically use did not deliver to the location of my husband’s uncles funeral but recommended Zeleks. I read the reviews and decided to purchase flowers for the funeral. While the staff was incredibly nice, their service left me embarrassed when they did not deliver the flowers in time. The visitation hours were hour into the service when they tried to sneak the flowers in with no one noticing. Of course everyone noticed. In addition to the fact that the flowers were not delivered on time, I requested a large wind chime with a floral arrangement. The flowers were beautiful but the wind chime was medium in size at best. When i spoke to them about the flowers being late they were nice and said they made the flowers but forgot the wind chime so they had to take the arrangement apart and remake it. Horrible experience with this company, unfortunately. :( I placed an order for Mother's Day through a different company - Orban's Flowers. Without my knowledge, they routed the order to Zelek's who then actually prepared the bouquet and the delivery. I had selected a bouquet with beautiful white lilies, called "the butterfly bouquet." What Zelek's delivered was NOT what had been ordered - apparently they have a different bouquet that has the same name, and they got mixed up. Further problems arose when attempting to work out with them - I paid $75 for the bouquet I ordered, and what they delivered is worth $39.95 (current price on the website). They refused to give me a refund for the difference or even contact me to work out a different solution. All in all, it was a mess, I was super disappointed, and I could never recommend this company because of their appalling...
