Edit: I appreciate the reply, the bangs were not cut at home originally. I didn’t have any beforehand besides curtain bangs at a previous appointment months prior, which is why there was a middle part in the newly cut bangs since it was the first time I’ve had them in 3 years. The stylist told me it is a common formation on newly cut bangs. The only part that was home cut was an inch off the ends, which I openly expressed since I was aware it was uneven, regardless I wanted it shorter than the length I cut. She also asked if I had bangs before, I mentioned a long time ago when I did them at home, so that might’ve been a miscommunication on the “I cut my bangs at home”. Regardless, If it would impact the cut I would have been open to being educated on the topic to request a different one! Photos at the end are attached showing the blank slate before the salon and my lack of home cut bangs. Thank you for your quick response on the matter regardless.
Not really the best place to go for alternative hair styles. The first two photos is what I showed, second was taken right after I left the salon. I explained a layered wolf cut with bangs. The bangs were cut so wide on the right side, and uneven on the left, my face frame was shorter on the left and longer on the right. The layers were uneven, id pull from the left side and perpendicular to the right, and they’d be two different lengths, just no symmetry. It was a wet cut, but I was told once it’s styled it’d look great, as it was being styled I kinda knew it was doomed, so I just let her finish it off before I left. This place is great for highlights and normal hair cuts, just nothing alternative. Ended up being a shagged bob with a bowl cut, but it’s chill, just have to wear a hat for a few months.
I do know they offer to fix it for you if you call in from other reviews, but this is a situation where I don’t plan to go back primarily because they do not fit my needs styling wise. Staff are really nice though, and they are implementing a nail salon...
Read moreYeah so Ive never had problems here before until now, I went in for a side shave and bangs, I have face piercings which I didn't think would be a problem because it never is. Well the lady who did my hair ripped my piercing when she was doing my bangs. I was going to chalk it up to an honest mistake if it weren't for her laughing about it afterwards and saying "most people don't have face piercings". Didn't apologize or anything. Just laughed about it like it was funny. So because "most people don't have face piercings" it's okay to disregard the fact that I do in fact have them and not watch what you're doing? I'm not sure what her issue was in order for her to do that to me because I sure didn't do anything to her to warrent that type of behavior. I didn't notice until I got home that it was bleeding and ripped far enough out to where I'm going to have to take it out and...
Read moreI had my first appointment at Unruly today. It was an excellent experience! Nancy was my stylist and she did a base color, highlight, toner, and cut. I literally sat down in her chair and she asked, "Ok, what would you like me to do" and I said, "FIX ME!" And ya'll that's exactly what she did! She even collaborated with Liz on the colors to be used to best suit my skin tone. They are extremely talented and did a wonderful job. For a new salon, they have their stuff together! They even have an intern from the JVS cosmetology program learning from them. Excellent salon. Priced according to their ability. If you want cheap, stick to Great Clips. If you want good, invest in yourself and them. Unruly is worth...
