Brass & Bronze Foundry Bar — Restaurant in Lorain

The bar is dimly lit, which is my personal preference. It was spacious, with ample room for sitting to eat and talk with small groups. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were attentive and kind, as well as informative and compassionate. There was a gentleman next to us that was clearly intoxicated and they calmly de-escalated his want for another drink and persuaded him to choose water and time to himself instead. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals of chicken tacos and Korean tacos, along with sharing the spicy corn bowl. Don't let it fool you: I'm a baby about spicy and it was a 5/10 - totally reasonable! The food was fresh and delicious, reasonably priced plates and drinks, and the staff never rushed us to finish on their time. They also took the time to show us the party rooms or "speakeasy" that they rent out and host from within for private events. Drinks and appetizers were delicious! I order Mule and mojito for drinks. For appetizer we ordered the walleye bites and shrimp tempura. However when it came to our main entrée kind of missed the mark. The prime rib was over cooked, the southwest corn from a can. However, the mashed cheddar mash potatoes were delicious. This is truly a "shining gem" in the heart of downtown Lorain. I stopped in just to look at the menu and was I pleasantly surprised once I entered. Everything from the decor(It is GORGEOUS inside), the friendly and efficient staff, the fabulous boutique featured and the food was AMAZING! I ended up ordering 5 different items and every single meal was reasonably priced, well-portioned, and fresh and flavorful. This is a true unique spot and I promise you will NOT be disappointed.
