Horry County Memorial Library - Loris — Attraction in Loris

NOT friendly at all, condescending attitudes. The librarians have their designated parking, (displayed in pics, with cones) although there is sufficient parking available. **Visition date: 2/10/23 Closed early, also, ran a few patrons off 10mins prior to closing. I witnessed 4 unhappy citizens, that were requesting assistance, that received a dry and unhelpful response, but I stepped in on one occasion to help,... it's how God wants us to be anyways. I needed a little guidance once and got a undermining reply across the room, unprofessional my opinion, which isn't much but I'll share my two cents, to prepare future visits. On the contrary there are approximately 7 computers available for plubic access, and the usual accessibility to literature, auto books and so forth. The librarians are the nicest people we’ve met in Loris! They’ve been so kind and helpful, helping us sign our children up for reading contests. They also helped with recommendations on book series for our multiple children. In the past two years our youngest son went from reading below his grade level to being in the gifted and talented ELA class thanks to their support!

There is a variety of books for all ages to include a children’s room area that has a designated space for new books and a little kids computer.
