Usually this place is fast and polite. I did online check-in. Waited in waiting room for over an hour and according to the T.V. I was next. Next time I looked up my name was gone. I said, ok well I'll be called next probably so I'll just wait. Then they called the person who was on the list behind me. So I went to the counter and politely asked why did my name dissappear from the screen and wasn't called in order. The lady behind the counter proceeded to get an attitude rolled her eyes and said my name just didn't disappear. They are cleaning out a room for me. I said I was just curious considering everyone has been in order on the screen since I arrived. Well as soon as I sat down she disengaged the list on the T.V. to where it only shows HDMI hook up. Then a second person is called back that was behind me on the list. I didn't say anything. First off, no one is here because we want to be and because we feel fabulous! Secondly if you don't like your job and can't be polite to others for asking a simple question then maybe this isn't the job for you! After I get my vitals checked I am sent to a room where I waited for over another hour. At least this time a young lady did check in with me and said they had an emergency and sorry for the wait. Very appreciative! I get it things happen. But as far for the lady up front with the nasty attitude that was uncalled for, if you don't like your job or working on Sundays makes you have a poor attitude go find another job! While the technology portion of this location worked well the staff was nothing less than unprofessional and scattered. I walked in to the location at 12 noon to as about scheduling vs wLk ins etc. I was given a card and told to go online and schedule an appointment for an available time and I did just that. I scheduled my son for a sports physical at 4:13. We arrived at 4:05 (previously registering online) we were left to sit for about 35 min in the waiting area before he was called in to nurse station. After weighing him and checking his vitals I was told I needed to step out and go pay as sports physicals are 10 dollars and they don't accept insurance. I go pay and then we were put in a hell hot room with the door shut for another 30 min before I walked out asking how much longer we would be. I was told we were next but another 20 min went by and nothing. I had another appointment with my farrier schedule so we had to leave. Getting my sports physical sheet back was a disaster. I was told I would receive a refund for my payment and was told the appointment link is NOT an appointment it is a reservation and they cannot guarantee a time for patients to be seen. I came as a new patient. Front desk and nursing assistant very nice, and prompt. Facility is clean. Holiday weekend and my Primary Care was out of town. I presented with symptoms of sinus issues and conjunctivitis. I gave the info of where I probably caught the infection, and that antibiotics had been given to those family members. The nurse practitioner, friendly and knowledgeable shared with me my infection was viral. This NP, proceeded to share with me how to use nasal spray. I have more years working in nursing as a Clinical Coordinator, ER and cardiology nursing, and have served as a Clinical Research Coordinator for DUMC, than this nurse has been on the planet. I found her to be condescending. Staff was very happy to accept my $ 60.00 copay, and offer additional labs, COVID, flu and strep, which I declined because I did home COVID test (negative) and tell me to return if I did not improve, for which I am sure an additional charge would have applied.
