Today, instead of asking what would be my method of payment (i.e., cash, credit card, etc.), the casher asked if I was using EBT to pay for my purchases. I have never been asked that question at ANY store. That is an extremely insulting question, especially to a person of color. It is NOT an insult to use food stamps. The insult lies in the assumption of my means of paying for purchases. So, I spoke to the manager. He informed me that his English was limited, and he then called someone named Julie at another location. I was given a weak apology and a statement to the effect that employees would be retrained.
