The studio itself is very nice and I definitely learned something new during the wheel classes. However, I decided not to continue because the communication with the studio is extremely poor. They don’t respond to emails or messages, and it’s not possible to reach them by phone, which is really exhausting. As a beginner, I needed to reschedule one of my classes, and they moved me to an advanced class without letting the teacher know. The teacher was confused about what I was doing there, and it felt like a waste of time. Each teacher also told me something different. One said I could come and practice on my own between classes, while another said no, that it’s only four classes and that’s it. They should definitely be more in sync. In the end, I was excited to bring some pottery i made home, but they lost all of our pieces, mine and my boyfriend’s. He only found one unfinished piece that was left drying before trimming, which is basically useless. Nobody helped us with it, and we left pretty...
Read moreI went to a 4-week pottery class here with instructor Yuko, & I had a pretty not-good experience.
Yuko was way more invested in making bowls than she was in genuinely helping anyone become better at pottery. Don't get me wrong, she seems like a sweet lady & very good at what she does (throwing clay), but the teaching part, she definitely struggles with.
She paid very little attention to most of the students in the class, & whenever I would express that I was struggling, instead of helping me out she would do a very fast-paced "demonstration" & kinda be like "See, that's how it's done!"
She also "lost" a couple of bowls; thankfully all seemed to have been found but between the fact that I learned absolutely nothing & this, i would definitely not come back here.
Also, the class is extremely quiet -- if you're social at all (or even just don't like sitting in total silence while you work), then look for someplace else. I...
Read moreSuper rude worker yelled at me just for clarifying if this spot was ok for the general public to park in since there’s no sign there. Asked if I could park there for a hot second and was rudely told off bc of that simple question. Literally never gonna step foot in this studio bc of how awful that interaction was. If yall don’t want ppl asking, literally just get another sign to avoid confusing everyone. Every other spot has a sign except for this one, what r ppl supposed to think?! But I guess based on some of the other reviews, ppl r...
