Bill Rosendahl Del Rey Park, formerly Glen Alla Park 4601 Alla Rd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 Home of the beloved whale sculpture. Street parking only. Not much shade in the day time. 2 dog parks and tennis courts. #santamonicakids #santamonica #losangeleskids #losangeles #marinadelrey #mdr #kids #playground #delrey #glenalla #billrosendahl

I love this dog park. It has great shade and lots of room for the dogs to run and play. The three stars are a review of a tennis camp and tennis players. Today tennis players walked in to the water fountain leaving the one gate open. This tennis camp for kids walked in leaving the double gates wide open. The kids sat on the benches to eat. Dropping food all over the floor. The camp grownups let the kids push the dogs away who approached for the popcorn the kids spilled all over. The puppies were clearly interested in the food and the adults were letting the kids yell at dogs. This is unacceptable. I will also be reporting the camp to child care licensing. But there has to be rules about food and gates.

A little gem of a dog park. A turf field section and a natural grass section. Modern benches. Good landscaping. Separate section as an option for smaller dogs. Good supply of water, poop bags. Good mix of dog owners. Seems to be a skew towards larger dogs. Owners seem to be more watchful of their dogs here than at other parks in LA that I've been to

The park had went threw some changes since I was there last. It is more of a kiddy and dog park. Usually when you go to a park you will find picnic tables. Here there are only two of them and they are close to the bathroom. The kids playground is smaller then usual play. However, on most days you can still hear the laughter of children as they play with no care or worry at all and their parents setting on the side lines talking with each other and watching the children at play. There is still a basket ball court. Though, not much goes on there. Every so often you can catch a basketball game going on. The tennis courts have always been full every time I have went there. I think it is still a good park. There isn't much homeless activity going on there either. I mean see may see one of them coming out the bathrooms every so often. If you want to work out, there is workout equipment which is something that I don't remember them having in the past. They are located near the two picnic tables. If your ever in the Marina and need a place to take your dog, you will find a very huge doggie area. Starts at the front of the park heading all the way to the back of the park. Next time I'm there with my dog, I am planning on...

love that this dog park is open late until about 10:30pm; very helpful when you cant make it to the better parks before sunset. has faux grass so you dont have to worry about your dog getting dirty. large dog park extension is still blocked off and like other reviews has been this way for OVER a year. NEGATIVES: homeless encampments are nearby and not the safest place to be when it gets dark. most dogs outside of the dog gates walk and play OFF leash, so there is a chance for negative interactions. ALSO there is a lady that comes EVERY day with about 6 dogs and she yells and screams at every one of them for all the hours she is there, it is NOT enjoyable for anyone to let their dog play AND she asks everyone to take their dogs leash of because she cant control all her dogs. UNACCEPTABLE. this park does not seem to be regulated, the bathrooms are nasty though the childrens play area is so cool. overall i hope to keep coming here, my dog loves it, i just hope it becomes safer and more calming for us neighbors to spend...
