Aesthetic MdR — Local services in Los Angeles

It has been 6 months since my second surgery and I couldn’t be more happy! P.S. this will be a lengthy review because I rarely write reviews but they deserve it :)

I found Dr. Macias online while looking for a surgeon for my breast reduction. I searched for a couple of months and had multiple consultations with different surgeons who quoted me different price ranges. This is something I encourage everyone to do and it something a lot of genuine doctors will tell you to do; Dr. Macias did when I met him for my consultation. I picked Dr. Macias because when I told him how I had been thinking about a breast reduction since I was about 13 and how uncomfortable they were for me and how that has affected me most of my life, he was kind and also very knowledgeable. I appreciated the time he took to get to know me and explain to me about the surgery, the risk, precautions, expectations vs reality, scaring, and post operation results. I was also very impressed with his resume, work, and the staff was great. I felt confident about everything and of him. I had my first surgery in 2021. I was a DD, my breast were on the wider side and I wanted to go down to a B cup. Dr. Macias pointed out that I was young and fuller busts are usually desired as well as appropriate for my body shape. ( I want to point out that I don’t think he was not trying to change my decision on size, I think he cared more about me not regretting it). He also mentioned that if I didn’t like it or was not happy we could always go down more but if he did less and I was not happy it would be more complicated and a different surgery to go up a size. Because of this I decided he was right and I went down to a cup between B and C that way they were still nice and full. A year later I personally felt that they were still too big or just not the vision I wanted and I expressed that to him. With no issue and full support he said we could do a revision and fix any issues (tiny or big) from previous surgery. I am now about 6 months post my second surgery and I couldn’t be happier! They’re perfect now and the procedure and recovery were so much easier. I cannot thank Dr. Macias and his team enough!!!

My overdue large lipoma removal was a very successful procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Macias and his AestheticMDR team. I waited too long to remove what ended up being a 12cm diameter lipoma on my back and was referred to Dr. Macias by a medical professional who had a family member successfully treated by him. I live an hour from Marina Del Rey but added Dr. Macias to my list of consults because of the excellent referral from someone I trust. Dr. Macias and his team made a great impression and his medical credentials are outstanding so I chose him for my procedure. What an incredibly positive experience. I opted for topical anesthesia. The procedure took longer than anticipated, as Dr. Macias carefully and thoroughly attempted to remove the entire lipoma in one piece. He answered my questions during the procedure and kept me updated during the surgery. I returned to his office multiple times as part of the treatment follow up at no additional cost, sometimes every day, for a few weeks to remove fluid from the site. My follow up occurred over Thanksgiving, a very busy time for everyone. To accommodate my busy schedule Dr. Macias opened his office on the Saturday afternoon before the holiday to drain some fluid. He was by himself and cheerfully greeted me and my husband into the deserted office. Who does that?! His professionalism and skill are unmatched. He and his entire team deliver consistent high level of care and professionalism, from the moment you enter the office, during the treatment, the scheduling, and the timeliness of the doctor’s arrival at each scheduled appointment. I never waited to see Dr. Macias. His new office is currently being renovated and appears to be stunning. My experience in his temporary space was beyond my highest expectation. It’s now almost two months later, I’m working out again, have full use of my upper body and despite the enormity of my lipoma, my scar is barely visible. I am beyond gratified. There are not enough amazing things that I could say about my experience with Dr. Macias and his team and Aesthetic MdR! From the first day I called to inquire about a procedure, I was given the best customer service. Kimberly and Brenda answered my many many questions with so much patience and kindness. I had been considering a few plastic surgeons closer to home in Northern California for the procedures that I was considering but I was not impressed with the before and after photos. Dr. Macias' attention to detail and professionalism made it pretty easy for me to make my decision to go with him as my surgeon.

Once I had booked, things became even easier for me. Leading up to the week of my surgery, I was given plenty of information and help with preparing myself accordingly. The day before, the day and the day after surgery could not have gone more smoothly. I had so much support from the entire medical team and despite being so nervous, of course, since it was my first surgery and first time going under anesthesia, I was put at ease because of how professional and patient everyone was with my questions.

Recovery from surgery is never easy but I was grateful that Dr. Macias requires his patients to go to the Prestige After Care facility because I don't know how I could have managed that first night without their help.

My follow up appointments have all been able to be virtual, because I do not live in the area and flying down would be difficult to manage with my schedule, but Dr. Macias has been more than accommodating with that as well.

And on top of it all, I could not be more happy with the results of my procedures. I am so happy with the results and they seem to improve every day. I was only really in pain for about 2 weeks post-op and since then, life has pretty much gone back to normal and that, I believe, is because I went with a highly qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. I would recommend Dr. Macias to any and everyone and will definitely be back to Aesthetic MdR if I need any...
