Do not even think about going there!
Reasons:
1- Great pre-sales customer service, however once you are passed to make the payment you will not longer be an appreciated customer. They will not look after you.
2- Prices, are way above the standard
3- When things go wrong they will forget their promises and even blame you. Did I mention you are no longer an appreciated customer once you've piad?
I wanted to have my first plant and looked for help. I was very specific: I don't know a thing about plants so I want something I only have to water every now and then. I liked the iceberg roses, I was told they were very resilient and watering them once a week will be enough and so I was sold 3 of them.
I went to pick them up a while later and continued shopping. I was excited and thought I could do with more plants, I asked for help and Roger was at hand with tips and ideas. He was great, but when I arrived at the register Katerina, the sales manager, was abrupt and only interested in taking my money. I was not sure of the things I had picked but as I felt the pressure (Katernia said that I had to pay for them or they will give them to somebody else) I purchased a few things from Roger's designs. I went back the next day and decided not to get the things and I only took the roses home. That day I wanted three pots for my new roses but they only had 2, Roger recommended I ordered the three pots together so that they look alike, he said sometimes the ones coming in are very different to the ones they have in stock so obviously I ordered three. Apparently once you order something it is yours and they will not give you money back. Even if they can resell it.
I looked after the roses as per Laurie's instructions (once a week is enough). The roses died and so I decided I did not need the pots. I went back to the garden center and tried to explain what happened and the reason why I didn't want the pots. I was told there was nothing they will do, I paid for them and I had to take them. The owner told me it was my fault, he even said I misheard what Laurie said and they will not give me my money back. They state it on their receipt and it was final! Just one last thing, at the bottom of the receipt there is a space for your signature were you accepts the T&Ts my receipt does not have my signature... Is this legal?

Read moreI always enjoy walking around this garden center and seeing the diversity and depth of products they have on their 2+ acres. They have a large selection of succulents, and are very knowledgeable about how to conserve water in the garden. Their veggie and herb selection is one of the best around--they have everything from nonGMO seeds to seedlings to grape vines, blueberries and the like. Looking for a fruit tree? They're sure to have it. They also have a huge selection of gorgeous containers, including ones that have an architectural or stone/cement look but are light enough to be placed on decks and balconies where weight might be a concern. I've come to love Boxwoods thanks to their large selection. They also have a wonderful assortment of fountains, from tabletop to estate sizes, and everything in between in all sorts of styles. I'll be getting a Christmas tree there, and poinsettias, which come in next week. Their fresh-cut trees are the best--Mine has always remained fresh for weeks, and I like to get mine right after Thanksgiving. They also have lots of Living Christmas trees that are really beautiful, and include tabletop sizes on up. They offer delivery service, special orders, and always have a ton of plants, the best soils and...
Read moreGreen? Super-green I’d say! This has become my favorite nursery on the Westside! Conveniently located in Marina del Rey right by the 90 entrance/exit, it’s set on a spacious lot with an impressive selection of both California native and American plants. The native section is particularly strong, but you’ll also find a great variety of other species to explore.
The outdoor layout makes you feel like you’re wandering through a little jungle in the heart of L.A. — peaceful, lush, and inspiring. Prices are very fair — not the cheapest in town, but definitely competitive for the Westside given the quality and selection.
Little extra that makes this place unique is the coffee cart located on the parking lot. Coffee and plants, a great combo.
If you’re in the area, stop by, pick up a plant, and do a small favor for...
