We went last Saturday to the Provo City Temple in the 💓 of downtown Provo. This building was the famous Tabernacle built in 1883; and when a fire almost destroyed it within the past few years, the wonderful people of this area decided it could become a second House of the Lord, for Provo. ♥️ Everyone was so pleased and put their 💓 and soul into making it not only a spiritual and educational sanctuary, but an exquisite temple dedicated to the Lord. People flock here in large numbers! Even with the large parking available, it is common today to have to wait for someone to pull out to park. Inside the beautiful reddish-mahogany and dark-walnut are perfect for all the stairs, chairs, and carved wood, which is also used in their waiting/visitor's center -. and there is also an atrium visitor's center with an Incredibly lovely Christus statue. The stained glass used is delightfully blended with cranberry, pale to brighter yellows and a mixture of green tones. The flawlessly painted wall Muriel's of nature and other settings are awe-inspiring! All of the hand-work to complete this adds to the radiant feelings of uplift, good will towards people both living and available to serve their ancestors who have passed without an opportunity to know about Jesus Christ, and now they are saving them by doing their work by proxy. Joy is abundant here! A place of eternal blessings whether being married or sealed to loved ones. Yes! It is definitely a House of Glory to God and a 🏠 of Revelation for His children. ♥️ 💯%...
Read moreAdmission price was very reasonable. It's only 10% of my gross income. Did I say my income? I mean 10% of my entire family's gross income. Did I say my entire family? I meant to say only the family members over the age of seven. So me and my 4 wives. I did say over the age of seven right? Okay so me and my 5 wives and 22 children are required to pay 10% of our gross incomes. But that's not an admission fee. Did I say it's not an emission fee? Right, it's not an admission fee to the temple. The temple admission cost is included in the membership cost. So there's no confusion the 10% we pay Is the admission price to get into heaven. Did I say heaven? I meant to say VIP Mormon heaven. Which is actually more of a layover. Since you will be on your way to create your own heaven. VIP Mormon heaven includes "you become a god benefit" So that's why you will need your own heaven. Obviously this only applies to men. Women will be more of a supporting character with no screen time. But they will have their name in the credits.
Boy I got sidetracked back to the building how could you not fall in love with a windowless concrete building with one door surrounded by a moat? In my bias opinion this screams beauty unless this was a Scientologist building in which case I would see this building as incredibly uninviting scary...
Read moreDon't waste your time, they don't let you in at all. Don't be fooled, this is not a Christian Church where you are allowed to walk in and walk around - it is a special "temple" for a different religion. They let you on the grounds and in a visitor's center but if you ask to go inside the special "temple" (which is the whole entire place other than the visitor center) then they say to you that you are not allowed because you are "not worthy". They try to make you feel better by saying even their own religion's members are mostly "not worthy" but in any case, it's quite odd. I went to the Center of Los Angeles Catholic Church and then Cathedrals like St. Patrick in NYC and Notre Dame in Paris and they let you in for free and you can walk around and take pictures and everything, but if that's what you think this place is well think again, it is nothing like the Christian Cathedrals and Churches that are open to all - there is some kind of process you need to go through and be interrogated for them to see if you are "worthy" to even go into it. My recommendation - go to the Pueblo of Los Angeles and see the Church there that the city was named after and BONUS it is open and FREE for ALL people to go in and see and take pictures, even if they are doing a...
