Long hair keratin treatment gem. Maki is my stylist and keeps my waist length mermaid hair healthy and swimsuit model gorgeous with her Japanese styling techniques. I spend about 4 hours here every 6 months or so. I’m here right now actually, and 2 people are drying my hair at the same time. The salon has a dedicated product program of all natural hair regrowth and thickening products which my husband swears by. It’s large, bright with lots of natural light and the staff are hands down the very best. I’ve been coming here a decade. I flew here to get my hair done when I lived out of state, and now I travel from Santa Barbara for Maki’s special touch on my wavy locks. I’ve always found their cuts to be on trend for women and they do so much more interesting styles for men than any other place I’ve seen. I’ve always drove by Taka and admired their lovely building. I first booked after a horrible botched haircut. I booked with Nick and let me tell you I have never looked back. He is hands down the most talented hair stylist and was able to not only fix my haircut but made me love the bangs that the first haircut gave me. So from that nick earned my trust and respect. Then I went back a couple months later to get some highlights as someone who has never dyed her hair. He was super good at explaining what the process is and what color he recommends and amazing at explaining what would look good with my face. Even asking if I wear my hair in a ponytail so he could make sure to add highlights you could see in a ponytail. He cares a lot about his clients and is a perfectionist and seriously the BEST. Pretty good at ignoring you if you don't directly come up to them. I came into what was seemed full staffed store but not busy. I stood on the indications on the floor where to stand. About 10 minutes passes by and no one has greeted or asked what I was there for, the lady at the front desk obviously saw me multiply times but ndver proceed to say anything and continued to work on her computer and the man that went back for forth from the front desk didn't speak to me either, just went to sweep an area, get sanitizer, everything else except acknowledge me. So I just stood there for a good 10 minutes just looking around, after a certain while I just had decided to leave.
