Cozy and Comfortable Stay at MyStayLA Hostel!

I recently stayed at MyStayLA Hostel, and I can't say enough great things about it! From the moment I checked in, I was impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and the excellent service.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. They were super friendly and always available to assist with any questions or requests I had, whether it was for local recommendations or something specific to my room.

Speaking of the room, it was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I loved the modern touches in the decor. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities—everything I needed was right at my fingertips, and the Wi-Fi was reliable, which made it easy to stay connected.

One of the highlights of my stay was the room service. The food was delicious and always delivered promptly. I enjoyed a variety of options, and the quality was consistently impressive. It really added to the convenience of staying at MyStayLA, especially when I wanted to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

The location is also perfect—close enough to all the major attractions but tucked away in a quieter area, which made it a peaceful retreat after a busy day.

[KOR] 마이스테이엘에이(MyStayLA Hostel)에서 2박을 머물렀습니다. 전반적으로 매우 만족스러운 숙소였으며, 특히 한국인 호스트 부부의 따뜻한 정서와 세심한 관리 덕분에 편안한 시간을 보낼 수 있었습니다.

✅ 체크인 & 서비스 숙소 체크인 마감이 23시였지만, 여행 일정상 24시 10분경 도착해야 했기에 미리 부킹닷컴 메시지를 통해 양해를 구했습니다. 다행히 호스트께서 동의해주셔서 늦은 체크인이 가능했습니다. 도착하자마자 친절하게 주차 안내를 해주셨으며, 호스트분(한국인 아저씨)은 처음엔 반말을 하셔서 당황했지만, 알고 보니 츤데레 스타일이셨습니다. 이후 매우 친절하게 대해주셨고, 전반적으로 따뜻한 분위기를 느낄 수 있었습니다. 다음 날 오전에는 미국인 매니저가 있었는데, 밝은 미소로 맞아주며 친절한 서비스를 제공해주었습니다.

✅ 객실 & 시설 객실 및 침구류의 청결 상태는 전반적으로 양호했습니다.

공용 욕실을 사용했는데, 다소 낡은 느낌이 있었지만 곰팡이 없이 잘 관리되어 있었습니다.

샴푸, 린스, 폼클렌징, 비누 등 각종 샤워용품이 구비되어 있어 편리했으며, 면봉까지 준비되어 있는 디테일이 인상적이었습니다.

✅ 공용 공간 & 편의시설 미국 가정집을 개조한 홈스테이 스타일의 숙소로, 1층과 2층으로 구성되어 있었습니다.

부엌에는 정수기가 잘 관리되어 있었고, 컵라면을 무제한으로 무료 제공하는 점이 매우 좋았습니다.

손님용 냉장고, 세탁기 및 건조기도 사용 가능했으며, 세탁기 & 건조기 이용 요금은 10달러였습니다.

Wi-Fi 속도도 매우 빠르고 안정적이었습니다.

조용한 분위기로, 밤에도 숙박객들이 서로 배려하며 편안하게 머물 수 있었습니다.

✅ 위치 & 교통 차량을 이용한 여행이라 이동이 편리했습니다. (주차비는 하루 5달러 입니다.)

대중교통 이용 시 접근성은 확실하지 않지만, 한인타운 중심에 위치해 있어 교통이 비교적 편리할 것으로 보입니다.

✅ 특별한 경험 체크아웃 직전, 호스트 아주머니께서 호박전을 부쳐주시며 한 입씩 나눠주셨는데, 미국에서 한국식 호박전을 맛볼 수 있다는 점이 신선하고 감동적이었습니다. 따뜻한 한국의 정을 느낄 수 있는 숙소였습니다.

✅ 총평 지금까지 여러 호스텔을 다녀봤지만, 이 정도로 세심하게 관리되고 친절한 숙소는 많지 않았습니다. 한국인 호스트 부부가 운영하는 만큼, 한국인의 정서에 딱 맞는 편안한 분위기를 느낄 수 있었습니다. 숙소를 깔끔하게 유지하며, 다양한 편의시설을 제공하는 점이 매우 만족스러웠습니다. 다음에 LA에 오게 된다면, 다시 방문하고 싶은 숙소입니다! 😊

[ENG] I stayed at MyStayLA Hostel for two nights, and overall, it was a very satisfying experience. The warm hospitality and meticulous management of the Korean host couple made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

✅ Check-in & Service Although the check-in deadline was 11 PM, my travel schedule required me to arrive around 12:10 AM. I informed the host in advance through Booking.com messages, and they kindly allowed me to check in late.

Upon arrival, the host (a Korean man) kindly guided me to park my car. Initially, I was a bit taken aback when he spoke informally, but I later realized he was a “tsundere” type—kind-hearted but with a tough exterior. Despite my initial surprise, he turned out to be very friendly, creating a warm atmosphere.

The next morning, there was an American manager at the hostel who greeted us with a bright smile and provided excellent service.

✅ Rooms & Facilities The overall cleanliness of the room and bedding was good.

The shared bathroom was slightly old but well-maintained, with no mold.

The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser, soap, and even cotton swabs, which showed great attention to detail and convenience.

✅ Common Areas & Amenities The hostel is a converted American-style home with two floors, giving it a cozy homestay feel.

The kitchen had a well-maintained water purifier, and instant ramen was available for free and unlimited, which was a huge plus.

A guest refrigerator, washing machine, and dryer were available. The laundry fee was $10 for both washing and drying.

Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout the entire property.

The atmosphere was peaceful at night, and guests were respectful and mindful of noise, making it easy to sleep.

✅ Location & Transportation I traveled by car, and the location was very convenient for driving around LA. (Parking fee is 5$/day)

Although I didn’t use public transportation, it is located in the heart of Koreatown, so I assume public transit accessibility is also decent.

✅ A Special Experience Just before checking out, the host’s wife was making Korean pumpkin pancakes (Hobak Jeon) and kindly offered me a piece. It was a delightful surprise to enjoy an authentic Korean dish in the U.S., making my stay feel even more welcoming.

✅ Final Thoughts I have stayed in many hostels before, but few are as well-maintained and hospitable as this one. Since it is run by a Korean host couple, it provides a comfortable atmosphere that aligns well with Korean hospitality and culture.

The cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and warm service made my stay very pleasant. If I visit LA again, I would love to stay...

The location felt safe and depending what host you got they were nice. Janet was somewhat understanding and so was the younger man working there. There was no toilet paper.i was never offered any toilet paper, though I talked to my roommate who they did give her a toilet roll. bathroom wasn't the cleanest. You couldn't shower after 11pm or before 7am because "it would disturb the other guests" but it would be 1am and people were still making noise all around the hostel. I never got anyway into the hostel. There was no shoes in the house so you had to wear slippers they provided in a basket by the door those slippers were very dirty so I started using my own. Honestly felt very unwelcomed. Like I entered someones home uninvited. I went there for a 3 day concert that finished around 10:30 pm and by the time we could leave the stadium it was 12. Most of the guests there were also going to the concerts. We let the host know this in advance. We'd leave at 8am and come back at 12 am to sleep.So I really don't understand the hostility towards us specially when all the other guests were very rowdy. This is definitely someone's home...
