Believe the negative reviews here.
I have given Rebecca Fitzgerald every chance imaginable. She came highly recommended and I was happy to see her. I also like to give women my business.
I made four (yes, FOUR) appointments for Sculptra with her. Dr. Fitzgerald claims to be an expert in Sculptra, and we made a treatment plan.
Four appointments later, she still hadn't done ANY of the Sculptra that she repeatedly promised. Rather, at each appointment she said that next time she would do the filler. Then at each appointment she tried to upsell me to laser and other skin care instead of doing what we'd agreed upon. Don't be fooled. The filler reviews are a come-on - her filler reviews get you in the door so she can try to upsell you on laser and products, holding out the filler as a carrot for some other time.
I am by nature a forgiving person and give someone repeated chances if I think they are going to do a good job. I had read some glowing reviews of Dr. Fitzgerald and thought, wow, she must be really special if she can afford to behave this way. No. The reality is that Dr. Fitzgerald capriciously wastes her patients' time and tries to manipulate them into paying for procedures they do not want. Very unethical. I sense a personality disorder.
Not only did she not do the treatments she promised, she also let me wait over an hour for each appointment before seeing me. Waiting a little at a doctor's office is to be expected. But at my third appointment I was actually told that it would be FOUR (yes, four) hours before she could see me. Knowing that she tends to run late, I had confirmed that she was on time only 45 minutes before my appointment. So this sudden, enormous delay made no sense.
Dr. Fitzgerald did not have an emergency, the staff said. Her front desk person just looked embarrassed, had no explanation, and suggested that I get some lunch and come back in four hours. What doctor thinks that this is OK?
As if this weren't enough, add in the fact that her front desk hardly ever answers the phone, and no one returns patient calls. You never know if an appointment is confirmed or cancelled.
At my fourth and last appointment today, I let Dr. Fitzgerald know how frustrated I was. She had no excuse or explanation, was unable to address my points directly, and just said that she was uncomfortable. Not the response I would expect from someone who I would trust with my face. I left.
I shudder to think how this doctor would handle a real problem. Based on her utterly self-centered behavior so far, I believe that she would abandon a patient who develops a problem without a second thought. I suspect that I am unfortunately not the only one she has treated this way.
Waste your time, money, and energy here if you like. But Dr. Carlo Honrado and Dr. Daniel Barrett both are plastic surgeons who do Sculptra and other fillers. They have not manipulated or disrespected me when I have been their patient. Their staffs politely answer the phone and return calls. The doctors do what is agreed upon, at the appointed time, professionally and skillfully. Both doctors seem mature and reasonable. This is the sort of treatment I expect from a doctor. Neither of these surgeons is more expensive than Dr. Fitzgerald, and they are better qualified. I am not getting paid or in any way compensated to endorse them.

Read moreI went to her office for Botox in my forehead. She told me it would take 70 units for my forehead and around my eyes. After two weeks, I did not notice any changes in my forehead, but my eyelids began to severely droop after the injections. After two follow ups, she admitted she never injected any Botox in my forehead and claimed the droopy eyelids are a condition called ptosis. She also claimed I would need a forehead lift and a laser treatment to remove the very fine lines. When I questioned where she actually injected the 70 units of Botox apart from around my eyes/brows, she got extremely defensive and refunded my money.
During my first visit, I showed her a lump on my forehead and asked her what it was was. She shrugged her shoulders and said she did not know. I eventually went to another doctor where I got 20 units of Botox and a noticeably smooth forehead a few days later. The new doctor immediately let me know the lump on my forehead was a lipoma, which any dermatologist should be able to diagnose since they are trained to treat and remove them. Also, Dr. Fitzgerald's claim that I have a ptosis of the eyelid was incorrect. It was from her injecting too much Botox around my eyes. Fortunately, that issue has resolved once the Botox she injected wore off. Lastly, she recommended AHA pads to address redness in the cheeks. Alpha hydroxy acid is the worst thing for sensitive skin since it causes redness, irritation and burning.
As many others have reported, Dr. Fitzgerald is brash, disorganized and seems rushed during every visit, although you will wait well beyond your scheduled...
Read moreI went for a couple of sessions of Cool sculpting knowing to expect 25% reduction of fat tissue. I think the interior of the office is great. I love the clean lines of the sofas and bookshelves, always a vase of fresh flowers. I didn't mind to wait for hours for a service I scheduled in advance and paid $500. The look of the Cool sculpting- fat removing machine and a procedure impressed me and raised my expectations . A professionally looking nurse, with effort pulled my skin into a tea cap device that was cold like cosmos. I was glad that the machine held my flawed body part with a force of industrial vacuum. My fat was kept there for an hour while I was tried to distance from slight pain (honestly, not for a long) by listening to a music of my choice. I couldn't think. She asked me if I want blinds on or off. I also got an offer of coffee even I couldn't move to get up to reach for a cap while my leg being held by the machine. In the following months, I even didn't get upset that there is no decrease in fat in the treated areas. The money I spent on this was not a complete waste. No, I was pampered, satisfied my psychological needs at the moment, and got rid of illusions in shortcuts. I blame nobody, but Coolsculting people who probably fixed their trial results. After all the nurse was honest with me. She told, there is no procedure like liposuction, she was right. In 10 months I compared the my treated and untreated thigh. The treated side is larger. May be all that stretching of the skin...
