Worst experience EVER.!!! Ive have been there before and never been this bad. Me and my friend walk into the shop I'm holding a pastry bag in my hanf, as me and my friend find somewhere to sit two minutes pass and one of the workers with a beanie comes to us stating theres not outside food allowed which i read on the signs they have around so I put my pastry bag in my bag even before he came up and told him I had put it away in my bag. As me and my friend get settled and talk for like about 15 minutes not knowing that much time has passed once again the guy with the beanie comes to us stating we need to buy something because we cant just be there without out buying anything, we had like an hour and half before they closed, me and my friend were going to buy something either way but we said okay we will go buy something but me and my friend both felt hostility toward us by the guy in the beanie so we just decided to leave because we didnt like the way the guy was toward us so rather just take our business somewhere else. As we were walking out the guy in the beanie ran and yelled at us so we stopped thinking he was gonna say we forgot something but he didnt he told us AGAIN that next time if we wanted to come not to bring food from outside and buy something if we wanted to stay there because they dont allow LOITERING.! Who is he to say that to two girls that just walked out because of the way he was being toward us, VERY RUDE. The other times that I have been there hes been rude with other people as well and its something I don't think is right for a coffee shop makes the shop and there whole staff look bad. I wouldnt recommend this SHOP to AnYone unless u want to aviod this guy just go in the...
Read moreDisappointed with the brunch. I got the French toast and went supreme (overstatement). The bacon was cut in half, the potatoes had no salt, and the onions were burnt. The main attraction—the French toast—wasn’t sufficiently marinated (?) and was basically stale bread that had been in the oven; they had included a plastic knife and it was nearly impossible to cut. The measly, stingy shot of real maple syrup (their only saving grace) was just enough for the half I ate of the French toast. The whipped cream wasn’t cream; it was whipped topping. And the cappuccino wasn’t very hot.
My friend got a bland chicken sandwich with too much very-bruised-basil, which for some reason was served with salsa. She made it only 3/4 through the sandwich because she hit an unappetizing chunk of gristle and didn’t want to eat any more.
Also odd: they have menus with a note that says “wrong prices,” I guess because they won’t reprint them. Seems weird, cheap, and lazy to have an inaccurate menu. I also never saw anyone from the staff come out to clean tables or anything.
We sat on the patio which was well-covered by umbrellas. There were lots of dogs but I didn’t see water bowls for them anywhere or a water station for the people. A lot of people seem to go there to camp out for a few hours, so I bet there are times when it’s very difficult to get a table outside.
Overall, not a great experience. I’m going to try other restaurants...
Read morePlace seems cute to hang out at, has healthy food options, amazing scones, wifi. Parking is okay.
Black cold brew is okay, better than Starbucks, but for coffee enthusiasts not as good as it could be; coffee initially tastes good, but leaves my head feeling weird, continued sips puts me on a rollercoaster of feeling okay and not okay as my body digests it, this is usually only present in coffees that are not high quality.
Second trip here: cold brew doesn't have that exact negative effect, but it's not pleasant. My slightly stale single origin coffee at home tastes better than their fresh cold brew. Cold brew is bold and dark, lacking any interesting or tasty notes.
They make pour overs with water that is too hot to make an ideal pour over (ideal brewing temp is below 200°F, but of course up to personal preference). And why they can't make iced coffee because of that (ice would melt too fast and make it watery).
The free water tasted and looked weird. I'm a little dehydrated so I reluctantly drink more and shudder at what the taste could be.
They serve scones with a plastic fork, but you can't actually pierce the scone to eat with it because it's too hard. Scone is edible, I just think it's silly to give me a useless...
