DO NOT HOST A PARTY HERE! We scheduled our son's birthday party here 3 weeks in advance and were told to call the location to make sure we had the largest room. We could not get a hold of anyone at the location for several days and when we finally spoke to someone they said the room we needed wasn't available. They also mentioned that someone would have "eventually called us" to tell us the Cafe was closed and NONE of the food ordered would be available so we would need to cater the entire party and provide drinks. They assured us they would have everything else in place (plates, napkins, table covers, etc). I called the day before to make sure the Cafe was still closed before paying the caterers, bakers and pizza delivery. They said everything was set. We arrived for the party and that's where the real disaster began. At the counter they tell us that they still have us down for pizzas because thir Cafe was open and we had placed an order. WHAAAAAT!? NOTHING was set up. There were a few plates in the room with cups, but no one was available. We gave one rack of juice boxes, sodas, sandwich trays and the cake to someone who was supposed to take it to be refrigerated. No one ever came to the hot room. I asked someone in the hallway if we could get the juice boxes for the kid and he said "Yeah, I can't help you. Get the room host and if you can't find her then ask the front desk." I go to the front desk and they tell me the person assigned to us wouldn't start her shift until AFTER the party was over! I'm scrambling to set up the room, rush waters downstairs and find our guests. One parent pointed out that there was an area on the first floor with my child's name. We had no idea we didn't need to go up a flight of stairs every time we needed water. NO ONE advised or assisted. At noon it was time to eat and there was a room full of sweaty kids, hot pizzas (thanks delivery company) and not enough plates. I started to freak out and grabbed the first employee I could find. He came in and brought plates and we started to give the kids pizza but no one would bring out the sandwich trays or the drinks! Finally things came out and an additional person came to help with the cake, but OMG what a mess! The manager came over and I gave him my list of grievances. He assured me there wouldn't be any additional charges, but the party was already mostly over. We got home and as we're unloading everything at our house I realized the two pallets of sodas we brought weren't there. In fact, they never made it to the party room either. We drove all the way back to get them because there's no active phone line for the place on the...
Read moreRecently had a horrible experience hosting my child's birthday at this SkyZone location. They failed to properly notify us that pizza and drinks would not be provided even though it was included in the party package. In fact, if you attempt to book a party right now you still can choose to include pizza even though it's not possible. Wow! So the kids jump around for an hour. We witnessed a kid falling down off the zip line and getting injured pretty badly, that was a little traumatic for the kids. A person over the loud speaker system notified that are time was up. Time to head to our room! How exciting!! But wait... the room number we were given wasn't labeled so we couldn't find it. So we tried to just look for the child's name, which couldn't be found either. Please see the picture I have provided as proof Once we asked again, we were directed to an area that was not really closed off to general public. Could the situation get worse? Of course! Here comes the mix up over the pizza we ordered but didn't receive! Here we are hosting a child's birthday with no pizza for the kids. How embarrassing. Lucky for us we brought our own fruits and veggies so we were able to amuse the kids slightly while we figured out a solution for non-food situation. Eventually we had a guest help us out by going to purchase Happy meals from McDonald's. If you can imagine that was not a quick trip nor was it cheap. With about 10 to 15 minutes to spare the children were able to eat food quickly before being rushed out.
Doing our best to get a refund for the disaster but we're getting a lot of pushback. Hopefully enough people will see this and not go through the heartbreak. Confirm that food will be provided.
Do not make any assumptions that just because you ordered it or requested it that it will be provided.
As I was leaving I overheard the exact situation with food happening to another guest for her child's party. And she asked the same question we did "what are we supposed to do about food for these children?"
Lesson learned the hard way. This location does not communicate well and doesn't put forth the effort to make things right. A child's birthday is supposed to be a magical time. One that's filled with great memories. That didn't happen and it's sad. The situation could have been easily avoided had they been honest from the very beginning at check-in. That would have given us nearly 2 hours to figure out something. Do better skyzone. Do better. Do better for the children that walk...
Read moreI don't know how to describe how I feel about this place, but if you're really interested I'll try to write it out. If you're not interested I'd suggest you find something else to do.
So to start... Your kids may like this place but if you're a mildly responsible adult who tries to keep an eye on what's going on it's a nightmare. There is no separation of ages at all. 3-90 all the time at the same time. There aren't enough people working to enforce rules and it feels like the old Japanese movie Battle Royale. There are so many kids just having fun but there are equally as many just being disruptive. The jungle gym people use as seats while my 7 year old desperately just wants to run the gauntlets. Most parents aren't even in the play areas so everyone is at their worst.
I ask my son to take turns after swinging on a rope once, the next kid spends 25 minutes on it and so do the other kids using the ropes. The climbing wall you have kids acting like slugs making it dangerous to attempt for everyone. While others are at the top looking for people to jump on. The trampolines are probably the best thing but you have really big kids flying across it smashing into little ones while "parents" are sitting around staring at their phones. The Zipline you have large groups of kids cutting. Not just once either they'll recycle and the employees won't do anything about it because there are 2 or 3 covering the entire floor.
Basketball just isn't great for younger kids. I think they need to reorganize this place, part the day by ages, and hire people to watch each area all of the time. I'm sure a lot of people would think I'm a killjoy but I have young kids not toddlers. They really don't need to be stuck playing with high schoolers yelling, cussing, and pushing them around. I was getting angry watching over my son so I had to leave my daughter's birthday party to avoid getting in trouble.
If you aren't going to watch your children you'll think this place is great, if you do you won't come back. If you're dropping off your teenagers here I just can't... Parking sucks, food sucks, and it's not that interesting a place other than the trampoline area. I feel bad my son loves the gauntlet/jungle gym because after 3 hours he never had a single chance to get through it. Just find something else for your kids. Theme park for teens, or literally anything else for younger children.
If you insist... Buy your tickets ahead of time and hope you can...
