The French fries first off is amazing because of the seasoning and how it's cook, it hit the spot for me today. I stopped by here on my way home and I already looked at Google maps so I know how to plan my route there. I found parking fine because I came a little before they officially open to avoid dealing with looking for parking since the parking lot here is very small. When I arrived, I saw they open early so I walked inside and they didn't have any guest inside. I started off with the Impossible Kabob and asked for fries on the side. I also was craving their cucumber salad so I asked if they had that here and he said the Shirazi salad, so I got a large order of that. I knew that all kabob places make their kabob fresh so you'll have to wait. The inside is pretty nice and there enough sitting room inside. I saw that had some hot sauces you can take so I took that just in case I needed it for my food. It took about almost 15 minutes for my food to be ready and I took it home to eat. I thought the impossible kabob didn't have much taste but I added the hot sauce to it and it helped a lot. The fries were my favorite, the Shirazi needed some more salt and pepper. I give the hummus and the little bread to my mom since I didn't like it. I would come back again with my friends if we're in the area.

Food wise, very great. The meats are seasoned to bring out the best in each meat and the cooking on each is also perfection. The lamb was phenomenal. The portions are generous (personally I get 1-2 portions per meal) with balancing side dishes. The side dishes allow for a smoother experience with the flavours adding on to each other. For dessert, I would say they do a decent and pleasurable job. Sweets are sweets. Interior wise, also very great. I loved the aesthetic of the place because the usage of the space is genius. Also good color coordination (very nice blend of complimentary colors). Price wise, you get what you pay for. Do I think the prices are a little high? Yes. Would I continue to pay the prices regardless? Also yes. You cannot substitute quality. I would say it's worth it (also the prices aren't insane this is just a personal review). Staff and service wise, so welcoming. Lovely staff, they recommend dishes adapt to customers, and greet everyone politely. The only thing I can nitpick would be the quality of their customer bathrooms. That's it. Everything else is kept in great condition; very clean tables and seating areas. For someone who is picky and particular in their preferences I would say this establishment will be remembered in a good light for me.

I was driving around Van Nuys and came across this great place. They have one of the best kabob’s that I have ever tasted. They have various choices including vegan plates. I tried the grilled chicken plate and let me tell you that this was off the charts delicious. Chicken was not dry at all so juicy and well cooked and full of flavor. The chicken was accompanied with rice, shirazi salad, roasted tomatoe & pepper, and whole grain pita. Also on the side I had some very yummy garlic fries and to top of my lunch a caramel pecan bar, which was the icing on the cake. This was hands down one of the best discoveries of a restaurant that I have ever had. The environment was also very pleasant, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant, not to mention the owner Arby he was very knowledgeable about the food he was serving and the customer service he was providing which made me feel welcomed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is willing to take a chance on trying something new. Will definitely be coming back, Thank you Hook Kabob will be seeing you soon!
