Immersive & physical rooms - friendly and competent/caring staff/game masters - parking lot - cold beverages after - can't ask for a better escape room experience.
My friend and I did Escobar today and Prison Break and they are our favorite rooms to date! It was my 59th and 60th room, and we have traveled and done over 40 rooms as a team. These rooms were so immersive and used clues and mechanics we had never seen before. The rooms were not super difficult, but the puzzles are very well done and would be great for experienced players or for newer players in a larger group. The two of us finished both rooms with around 7 minutes to spare. We can't wait to do the Armored Vehicle Heist with the other half of our team.
TIPS: These rooms are physical and do require some movement of objects in the rooms. We would recommend the ability to crawl, jump and crouch, and just be aware you will be moving a lot. Be sure you dress appropriately and wear close toed shoes - I would recommend sneakers! After reading the rooms were more hardcore than we were used to, I brought sneakers (which I don't typically wear in rooms), and they were 100%...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTruly and excellent escape room! This was my first room in LA, but Iāve played several in other states. We played Escobar and it had an immersive, very well designed set. The use of space felt natural. The puzzles fit the theme of the room and time period. There was more than enough for a group to work on and solve. I only played with one other person, but I feel certain that a larger group would have plenty to stay engaged. The clue delivery system was easy and understandable which was much appreciated. Quinn was a fantastic game master. He was friendly from the moment we arrived and was pretty hands off while watching the game until we either asked for hints or were clearly spiraling down a dead end rabbit hole. I canāt wait to come back and play the other rooms here even if it means navigating the hell-scape that is LA, Iāll definitely be back. The only tiny note Iād make it that the bathroom is pitched black. I understand the dark spookyness of escape rooms, especially the themes at this particular place, but I would appreciate a better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell done, folks. Well done. This is one of the most immersive rooms I have been in in a long time. Having done dozens of these, I had my expectations. This lock does this and that lock does that. While there was some of that, it was by no means, the bulk of the room. The fact that youbliterally have to stand there a moment and get your bearings should say enough about this room.
But, I'll go on. No spoilers here, so it's safe to read. What I really liked about this room was that there were little things that you had to do that were unexpected, and that I had never done in a room before.... wait...is that a microwave...interesting decor.... just enough surprises mixed with some "normal" fare got me goin. We did finish with more than 20 min to spare, but, like I said, I've done a lot of rooms. Just keep in mind....this room has a 2 hour time limit! So, yeah. Can't wait to head back and try the other room they have and the new one they may or may not be building....I won't say.
Try it! You...
