2/13/24 Update: The sidewalks remain cleared of encampments. It's such a great park, it deserves to be better cared for.

1/23/24 I'm informed the fencing was extended and the new tents have been removed.

1/16/24 Tents are returning unfortunately. Right next to where the fencing that was put up ends. This is what a mess our city Hollywood has become. We're told we need more housing but we also need something in between - empty spaces to use for "rough camping" where we can provide services such as sanitation, mental health, housing and more. We can't continue to live like this, encampments are ruining our neighborhoods and our businesses and our quality of life.

1/11/24 Encampments have been cleared, using the mayors Inside Safe program. And the sidewalk fenced off to prevent them from returning. Of course those who don't participate with mayors program unfortunately will simply move to another sidewalk in Hollywood.

12/26 Neighbors and park users have united to get their council member involved to resolve this encampment issue. But other than occasional cleanups nothing's being done here to house the homeless - if anyone them are interested.

Unfortunate how the nearby encampments are ruining our parks. It's as if no one cares about the safety of our neighbors &...

Poinsettia Park in West Hollywood is a cool, chill spot where there's something for everyone. It has lots of space and a bunch of activities to do. If you're into sports, there are tennis and basketball courts and baseball fields. There's also a walking track if you're up for a jog or a leisurely stroll, with various gym equipment spaces around the track.

There's a playground that's decked out to keep kids active and entertained. The park also has picnic spots all over, if you want to pack a lunch and make a day of it. It's a great place to meet up with friends, hang out, or get in on the community events that go on.

Poinsettia Park also has a community center buzzing with classes and other events. It's a place where everyone's welcome, no matter their age or interests.

Even though the park can get pretty busy, there's still a calm vibe about it. You'll see people just kicking back on the grass, reading, or enjoying the sun. Parking can be a pain sometimes, but that's a small price to pay for all the things this park offers. All in all, if you're in WeHo, you should check out...

Living in the neighborhood for nearly 30 years, I never had much of a thought about the park. Then children arrived in my life. And now I know what it means to have places for children to play!

This is a great neighborhood park. On the north side of the recreation center which houses an indoor basketball court and stage, there is a large, green field accompanied by a softball field. Around this perimeter is a jogging path built of a rubber substrate keeping it easy on the joints. That's accompanied with workout equipment placed around the perimeter of the field. To the east of the recreation center, there are tennis and basketball courts galore. Directly west of the recreation center is a playground for young children. And directly to the south is another park with trees and benches.

The recreation center plays host to a myriad of activities throughout the year, including after school programs. My kids really enjoy the summer program, and hanging out at the park to play basketball and to practice their latest...

Love this park, I go after work with my dog. I haven't used the recreational center, but I always see little league games going on, and there seems to always be activities going on in the center itself. The place has large grassy areas, a baseball area, basketball courts, tennis courts, a decent kids playground, and outdoor exercise equipment. My only wish was that there was a truly fenced and gated area for dogs - the place is dog friendly, but the fences really only are for pedestrians, definitely enough space for a dog to run under. My dogter has never made a run for it, but I always have to keep a close eye to make sure she hasn't wandered to the street. Oh, if you visit the side on Waring, you may see a pig - Mr. Meat - hanging outside his owner's house across the street.

This park is a great spot for pretty much everyone. It's got loads of space, making it feel never too crowded. The basketball and tennis courts, along with two baseball fields, mean there’s always a game to join or watch. Dog owners will love how welcoming it is for their furry friends, and the vibe is super friendly overall. There are bathrooms, so no worries about long days out, and it's packed with fun stuff for kids and teens to do. If you're looking to get active or just hang out, this park's got you covered.
