The first home in the (currently) U.S. The John James Center at Mill Grove is a wonderful blend of J.J. Audubon's historic residence on a hill overlooking the Perkiomen Creek, the more recently added Visitors' Center & Museum, and extensive trails providing a wonderful opportunity to view the ever-changing avian and other diverse wildlife. Check out the Museum and tour the original J.J. Audubon residence, enjoy a picnic on the grounds, and use your binoculars to find both familiar birds, and new ones to help build your life list. A depth of history. Natural history to experience. And an opportunity for chance encounters with kindred spirits on the trails.

This is a magnificent place to wander around alone, with children, with friends, or with family. Great for a picnic as well! Whether you're a bird watcher, someone who enjoys walking, or someone who just needs to touch some grass, this is one of the best local places to be. The pathways, gardens, unless manicured lands are all kept in fantastic condition and there's abundant variation to enjoy (Fields, hills, paved paths, gravel paths, dirt paths, gardens, woods, creeks...).

I enjoyed the James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. The museum was interesting and the personnel there were friendly and informative. I also enjoyed the trails around the site and the live birds that they had on exhibit.
