Whitehall Apartments — Attraction in Lumberton Township

HONEST REVIEW........ The apartments are decent but not a FOREVER HOME. The pool is NOT included in your monthly HIGH rent it's an additional cost for you AND any guests.... but don't worry about that, it's RARELY EVER OPEN. The "picnic benches" are non-existent. We had a huge mice problem a few months back(can't even guarantee it's fully fixed).. maintenance requests are handled.... when they get to them... the bathrooms have no ventilation other than the one window(no overhead vents to help ventilate) so the liveliness of mold in there is HIGH.... hot damp areas + not enough ventilation. The apartments are cold regardless of the Temps you set the thermostats to because the amount of heat filtered in is controlled by them (they pay that utility of course). The maintenance workers are friendly and live on site.... again, things get fixed, but when they can get to it. Still trying to wrap my head around the amount of rent I pay in comparison to people who live in 3 bdr townhouses across the street.... ITS THAT HIGH. The middle school and one of the elementary schools is across the street in walking distance so THATS A PLUS... except the road gets heavily congested during school arrival and dismissal hours. There's local food places but only few I'd actually order from (Guintos is great, avoid Burger King). There's a gym across the street in the plaza (no gym on site)... they DO have several laundry facilities on site, but none in unit, and I believe u have to pay for those machines as well...there a public laundromat conveniently located across the street off rt 38. It's a perfect starter apartment for young adults or young families with less than 4 kids.... as there are only options of 1 or 2 bedrooms. The park is located in an area where there is really no security for your children so don't send them alone, it should really be fenced in and updated. Hope this helps you when deciding if this complex is a good fit for your family.

Our family has lived here for a month now and I will say we immediately felt at home. We walked in to tour on a Saturday (as a previous leasing agent I used to heavily dislike walk ins) but Noel was super sweet, kind, and helpful. She answered all of my questions, responded to any and all emails I had sent (and within a timely manner). She made our entire process as smooth as possible and still to this day does! Any questions I have, maintenance issues (which isn’t much) she’s on top of! As far as our home, it’s spacious, we have a “classic” unit but it’s still beautiful and well maintained. The grounds are up kept VERY well, doggy station trash is taken out daily by maintenance, and there is no trash all over the place. The price for your home and utilities is worth wild. The only downside thus far is the floors are soft (I’m sure due to age) and I feel terrible for my downstairs neighbor having to hear the creaking as we walk. I did have to deep clean the apartment before we moved our things in since a cleaning wasn’t properly done before we moved in (found previous residence items in the closet and food between the stove and cabinet). The place is ok for a single person or a couple. However, it's not without its issues. While they do have laundry facilities in every other building, at times they are locked for no reason and just today, the one that is usually open, had 3 men in it smoking which is not allowed and my pregnant wife could not do laundry due to the smoke filled environment. Also, while heat and hot water are included, our building has had issues with hot water for months!. Even through they repaired the system several times and eventually replaced it, we still don't know each morning when we wake up if we will have hot water or not. Several times we went a day or 2 without being able to shower or wash dishes. The staff is pleasant and while they are understanding of our complaints, their maintenance efforts have not been able to ever completely solve the issue.

As for inside the apartment, the accommodations are spare and in need of renovations. Maintenance has always fixed issues that arose on the inside but often times, they take a long time to do it.

In my opinion, it's worth to spend a few hundreds more per month for a place that has everything in...
