Chaplains Museum — Attraction in Lynchburg

First time visiting the chaplains museum was wonderful was welcomed by some very eager students. Docent full of enthusiasm and information. Though not very big (just for perspective) the content is worth a visit. Great pieces, interesting perspective, it is still growing and evolving which is fun. I cannot wait to go back maybe in a few months to see the add ons. Located inside Liberty's beautiful Library enter the main entrance go down the large stair case you will find it down on the right bottom of the stairs. I am a chaplain in the Virginia Guard and a history buff. One reviewer said this was honoring those who honored slavery. May I say that this is a Civil War museum and not a confederate. Not everyone in the South fought for slavery. I have documents in my family archive from their church in Virginia during the Civil War where the congregation adopted and signed a declaration that they did not support slavery. Small but filled with history. On University campus..very unique place and point of view from chaplains side. Wonderful, young law students was very knowledgeable and gave us private tour. He was super nice and patient. Answered all our questions And Museum is free!!...
