I shop at a few best buys for car audio and home audio. So I am staring a new sound system car my car and I am pickey about what I buy and do a lot of research on audio bah bah. When I went in to buy a set of 6x9 and 6.5 component speakers and to check on price of amps walked around for 30 min or so no help so I asked for help 20 min later someone did come help and this person had not a clue about car audio. So then I asked if there was anyone that could answer a few ? About the audio and I was told that car audio isn't what best sells a lot of and that the person would be in the next morning. So after almost 1.5 hrs I left with nothing and no answers to what I wanted. Next day go back in to talk to someone who would understand my ? So here I am the next still walking around for 45 min. before I get asked can I help u so I asked if they know anything about car audio and I got no but they would get someone that does so 30 min. later here comes this young kid he u am sorry it took so long to help me and I said that's fine but then I asked ? About audio and this kid had no clue about it he did know a little bit about audio but not the products they sell at all was trying to sell me this big amp and some big subs but not the sound I am looking for but all and all 4 hrs gone and still bought nothing. I understand car audio isn't like it was in the 90s but if u sell it u should still have people that know about it and close the deal so they lost about 600 in sales that day but that is just a penny in a jar for this company and they don't care about that I am sure as long as they sell that big screen tv or a washer and dryer they got money in the bank but if I was a owner I would pay someone a few $ and make the sale to take care of customers ever if it not your biggest money maker. Will never shop at this store again it was a waste of my time I wish I could charge them the money I would have made at work waiting on someone that really knows not a thing about what they are selling just trying to upsell me on other stuff if I was a young kid it sounded like a good deal and would have walked out spending about 2500 so that is how they make money sell the stuff u know about not what the...
Read moreI am not sure if this is due to a change in management or if this a poor decision on corporation, but apparently Best Buy has now outsourced installation and repair.
On July 25th, I had to have my oven repaired, which is under a 5 year extended warranty. I was scheduled for August 2nd, which no one showed. My husband had to call and was given August 5th. I then received a text from a virtual assistant asking questions to diagnose my oven; after answering the questions, I was then rescheduled for August 19th and once again no one showed or called. I was given the reason of, they were waiting for the parts to be delivered to my house. Funny enough, if they had any decency to call, they would have known I’d had the parts for at least a week and a half. A tech did finally show the following day.
On August 3rd, we had to go buy a dishwasher. We were given the date of August 21st for the install. The morning of the install, once again, no show or call. I went to Best Buy and was told the dishwasher was not delivered from the warehouse to the store and of course because Best Buy is not in charge of the installs any more, they could not give me a reason why I wasn’t called. I had to call to get rescheduled, and was given September 25th. I received a call from the technician the night before as well as the morning of, I received a text @ 6:31 a.m. confirming my appointment between 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.; however, this time, they were decent enough @ 8:47 a.m. to send me a text telling me it was time to schedule my appointment. Once again, I had to go back to Best Buy to find out again why no one showed or even receive a human-to-human phone call. I ended up returning the dishwasher I never received.
This is an unacceptable way to run a business and treat customers. I will now be taking my business to either Sam’s Club, Lowes,...
Read moreThis review is about BestBuy Total program. For years, I have directed my IT spending towards BestBuy because of their Total program. Anyway, I recently had four iPhones purchased on the same day come up for renewal on their extended warranty (which includes AppleCare). Still, they each had a different renewal date, which I just learned of (I expected them to be the same day). I went to renew them, and two expired by 5 days. I was able to renew two of the phones. I called customer support, and they said they could not help me because they could not renew expired plans for only a few days. I explained the situation, and the customer support rep was friendly but said she could not do anything. I explained how much money I spend at Best Buy and why I use them as my preferred vendor. She would or could not budge. In response, I canceled all of my extended warranties on Apple products and purchased Apple Care directly from Apple, including renewals for the expired plans. It cost me a little more, but I know I am protected on those Apple products, and Apple provides a much more reasonable renewal window (45 days past expiration) than BestBuy (0 days). I recommend avoiding BestBuy for all Apple purchases and AppleCare renewals. Just work with Apple; it's a much better experience. I am seriously considering dropping my BestBuy Total plan, and I will never again purchase another Apple product from BestBuy. One thing of note is that I only received one email for each phone about renewing (which could have easily gone to the junk folder), and the email had no specific dates or deadlines to renew. Very poor customer service: one email, no details, zero-day grace period to renew, and customer service with zero power to...
