Moda Capelli Hair Salon — Attraction in Lyndhurst

I love Donna and Del. Today was the first time Del cut my hair. I normally go to Donna but today was last minute, and Del was kind enough to squeeze me in. They are both so wonderful and friendly, and they always find a way to make their clients laugh. I love that they listen to what you want, and what problems you've been experiencing with your hair. I was expecting to do my hair off again due to hair loss from dropping weight and severe split ends. But he assured me that my hair wasn't as thin as I thought, nor as damaged, and gave me a great cut.

Donna is an expert with color. Last year I had bright purple hair and needed to change it back to some semblance of brown for my new job. When I had done it myself in 2016, I wound up with pine green hair... I couldn't afford to do that again lol She did such a great job and was so patient and supportive of my desire to do something with red. I was ecstatic with the results.

The salon itself has a wonderful atmosphere, is beautifully yet simply decorated, and is always spotless. The prices are great, especially when you consider how much some places try to charge nowadays. They have a small but nice selection of hair products that they use, and never try to force you to buy them.

Beautiful from the decor to the soul. I’m about 6 months into remission from cancer so I came to see Del after nearly 2 years of baldness, 3 months of looking like Zach Ward in A Christmas Story (yes, with the hat on only this was my hair), and a few very rough snips with drug store hair scissors at home. He had some work to do and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling insecure and a little embarrassed walking in. Lol. This was my first visit to Moda Capelli and I really loved it. Del was extremely kind, positive (oh so refreshing), compassionate, and a true artist as far as I’m concerned. He cut my very oddly shaped and fine hair so beautifully and the conversation was also quite lovely. I left feeling beautiful and happy and that’s just the best way to leave a salon in my opinion. I’m going out tonight and I’m going to rock this bad@ss little haircut better than anyone’s rocked a bad@ss little haircut before. I will be back again soon. Thanks...

Always a great experience here. Del is the one who cuts my hair and he always does a fantastic job, seemingly effortlessly. I'm a guy who has gone their for medium length and short haircuts and all I have to do is show Del a picture and it has always come out just how I wanted, which has not been the case with other places. He did my most recent short cut w/ just shears and it came out great. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality of work that is done. I moved a bit farther away from Moda Capelli and this is still the only place that I will trust w/ my hair. 10/10...
