NO customer service, they just don’t care. Customers that booked and paid deposits prior to pandemic should have been their first concern and contacted as a courtesy. There should’ve been updates sent every couple of months, letting us know what to expect or just saying they hadn’t forgotten about me/us. In February 2020 I put a deposit down for a party in October. Right after that the pandemic started and understandably they closed. I didn’t receive a call or email saying they were closed until further notice and would keep me updated. nothing! I called and left messages for several weeks before I finally received a call back saying they couldn’t provide information as to when they would reopen. When I checked back in during the summer, I was told they would be open in December and I could have food catered for my Christmas party using the deposit I put down. I thought OK.. good! I’ll do that. ACCEPT when December came, I tried calling in my menu and I didn’t get any answer. Four days before my party I was finally able to talk to someone and was told they were closed again at the end of November. Smh.. I can’t say it’s poor customer service because there was NO customer service from San Carlo at all! BTW , she said they wouldn’t open until March of 2021. The staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, and accommodating to all our needs both during setup and throughout the event. They truly impressed me with their dedication and professionalism. The food was top-tier, and the beverage selection, which included beer, wine, and sangria, was perfect for the adult guests.
However, I’m giving this venue three stars due to my experience with the Banquet Manager, Jodi Guzzardo. As someone with nearly 20 years in the hospitality industry, I found her behavior to be shockingly rude and unprofessional. When my mother-in-law and aunt visited the space for a scheduled appointment, she was dismissive and unhelpful toward them. During the event, her attitude continued to be an issue; she was disrespectful to the service staff and disregarded customer feedback, even contradicting me when I communicated specific requests through the staff because I preferred not to deal with her directly.

The food warms the soul especially with events like the gotv breakfast that a friend of ours always holds every year. The San Carlo has a bit of charm that makes you feel like you are as important as any other person in the world. The San Carlo and it's wonderful employees speak profoundly to the soul of the person and whenever you want something or whenever an event you want to set up, it is there for you and waiting for you!
