I left a review a year ago which was favorableā¦unfortunately Iām here to leave a new review which is clearly not favorable.
I pre ordered today and made it clear in my comments to use Brick Bread. Their Brick Bread is far superior than their āsubwayā bread it really makes the sandwich.
So to prevent any mix up I called American Hero, got a guy on the phone and I mentioned how if he could make sure that my order had the correct bread on it, he said that āWhatever bread we have we have thereās no way to tell if we will run out.ā
But if I preordered and requested a type of bread, just put it on the side until the order is ready to be made. How hard is that? The last time I ordered and the bread was wrong the manager specifically told me āAll you have to do is specify Brick Bread and we will make sure to get it for youā and now youāre telling me whatever I get, I get?
After that phone call I went ahead and canceled my order and I am no longer interested in ever giving this establishment my business again.
It is a shame because their sandwiches are in fact VERY good butā¦. Only when served on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered two subs (grilled chicken with fresh mozz & buffalo chicken) for me and my son off of Uber Eats on a whim. It said a whole sub was $17, so I assumed their sandwich sizes must be gigantic and I went with the half size for each of us. Food came fast and let me tell you, they were the perfect size... maybe 8 inches on a half. We could only manage half and saved the rest for dinner. They use shredded lettuce which really gives it that sub feel and all of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. For sides, we got the crinkle cut fries and potato salad and neither disappointed. The fries were still very hot and not soggy, even after the drive to Wallington. The potato salad is your basic, plain style but perfectly executed. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but if you're looking for really good, classic subs... this is the place. We will definitely be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFound this place by a simple Google search for sandwich shop by me and this popped up. They had 4 or 5 guys working, they had 7-9 customers. Bread was great, they slice the deli meats fresh not like others. They also dont count the amount of cheese or meat they add, they just make make a sandwich like it was there own. It's an assembly line and fast. Place well decorated pretty cool with Giants and Devil's merchandise, also alot of 9-11 firefighters pics. I would 100% go back and next time I'm getting a hot sandwich because I was not sure but now being inside, it has to be good. All employees are wearing masks, parking is not an issue, and I am certain with no pandemic this place is crazy. I also suspect that for tailgating parties, this is a go to spot. Very impressed. To ths...
