Great park! It has been well taken care of over the many years. It has a very family friendly feel with a lot of play options for kids of all ages. Absolutely fabulous place to take the family. There are multiple access points to the park. I would recommend mapping your way to the closest parking lot. Most of the access points have parking lots and are handicap accessible. There are public bathrooms with multiple stalls and are maintained. There are picnic shelters in addition to picnic tables scattered about. There are several kids playset areas. It's adjacent to a elementary school which has a brand new multi level play set area that is a must check out for the kids. The out door amphitheatre is small but kids love this out door theatre space for pretend play. There are swings, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball field and snack shack which is open when baseball games are going on. There are many walking paths in or out of wooded areas. Great place for Pokemon Goer's. Definitely worth a visit or spend a afternoon with the...
Read moreI discovered this park while in the area when I hopped on Google maps to find a good park/trails to ride my OneWheel electric skateboard. I saw in other users reviews that they mentioned the park had a variety of good biking trails and that was all I needed to pique my interest. Arriving at the park I was surprised at how much this park offers for everyone. They have nature trails/mountain biking trails, porti pottis that were maintained and clean, undercover picnic areas available for reservation, a playground, multiple tennis courts and 2 baseball fields. So this place has something for everyone. But back to my reason for going there, this place has amazing trails for OneWheel riding or mountain biking. I spent close to 2 hrs riding around and I still didn't manage to explore all of the paths. I highly recommend checking this park out if your looking for some trails to ride. And this park is definitely making it to the top of my riding list...
Read moreThis Park in my opinion is HUGE! This is the place to go if you want to forget that just outside of Park parameters is back to city life. While exploring this city park quickly it will become apparent that perhaps multiple trips will have to be made back to me park to experience fully the wonders offered within lyndale city park limits. An amptheatre just about anyone is capable of using to entertain the masses, an educational trail to bring you up to speed on the local plant life, a massive covered picnic shelter unique in design with the Lincoln Log style construction (the shelter even has two separate locations with power) tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields including what looks like a miniature Major league ball field, concessions during appropriate season, swings, etc. and so so much more. Guaranteed not...
