I'd love to write a positive review, raving about the lovely atmosphere of my new neighborhood's winebar and their excellent selection of local wines. Unfortunately, this won't be that review. After driving by daily for a few months, the gf and I turned in on a late may saturday afternoon whim for a snack and splash. When we got inside, server #1 directed us to menus and established that we were free to go on the deck but we wouldn't be able to have wine flights outside. There were two parties -- one at a high-top and a couple at the bar. Thinking we might have flights, we sat on the couches because they're comfy and to maximize distance between parties. After about 3 minutes, we knew what we wanted. The other server was engaged with a couple sitting at the bar...loudly. So we waited, the gf and i, and tried to chat over the employee's loud nonstop banter that dominated the entire hard-surface tasting room. After about 10 minutes of hearing the server's life story about where she grew up, how she didn't know anything about wine before, how she loves wisconsin, etc, we were actively agitated and wanted to order wine and maybe a snack. So we walked up to the bar to order wine thinking one or the other of the servers would notice us. Server #1 seemed actively busy... bringing 3top flights and disappearing to the kitchen, probably for food prep. So we stood at the side of the bar, the same one where server #2 continued (without pause, distraction, or a hint of self-consciousness) to talk to the patrons about wisconsin. We sat at bar stools without acknowledgement or even a glance from server #2 5 feet away (but whose mind seemed a million miles from serving wine to new additions at the bar). Server 1 still busy. After about 5 minutes of sitting there, and really really wanting to salvage our impromptu pre-dinner date but ultimately left feeling invisible and defeated. (But at least we got away from the nonstop talking... i hope the couple on the receiving end of the one-sided conversation with the transmit-only server enjoyed their drinks). I still drive by twice daily and remain curious about their wine, but i'm not going to bother trying it at this...
Read moreThe atmosphere is quaint but unfortunately the service is not good. My table had two different servers and both of them kept forgetting about us. They also mixed the wines in the same glass for the flights which is really weird. The other tables who got flights got three separate glasses for the wines so why didn’t they do that for us? My table also requested a bottle of wine for the table to share and we never got that. This was not a great experience for my friend’s...
Read moreAmazing value for the tasting experience and a wide variety of wines. I found wines that i loved and disliked. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the wines and the service. Gina was endlessly patient and helpful, and her recommendations were spot on. A great place for hen parties, special occasions, or an interesting affordable night out. Bottles range from $18...
